I want to buy myself a nice ring for Christmas, can anyone recommend a good website for reasonably priced, reasonably blingy, extremely beautiful and convincing diamond rings??

QVC has some nice costume jewellery.

Jozen · 21/11/2018 15:05

QVC shopping channel is often in raptures over the Diamonique range.

I got some lovely costume jewellery a couple of years ago from M&S

Ive heard good things about qvc diamonique and seen one worn as an engagement ring. Looks nice enough to me altho admittedly im not expert.

Ernest Jones have some really nice jewellery made with cubic zirconia.

MrsSchadenfreude · 21/11/2018 15:19

Brilliant - they have a shop in Chelsea or you can buy online at brilliantinc.co.uk

Cuzcothellama · 21/11/2018 15:24

QVC diamonique.
Carat London.

I have a few things from Diamonique, it's really good value for gold plated jewellery as the base metal is usually sterling silver. Mine are little pave rings and are very convincing, I'm not sure about the larger stones. You can always return

CantWaitToRetire · 21/11/2018 15:31

Tru Diamonds

tablelegs · 21/11/2018 15:31

Carat

Haworthia · 21/11/2018 15:32

Yep, Diamonique!

PetuliaBlavatsky · 21/11/2018 15:33

I started googling for diamond jewellery when I read this thread and it's nothing to do with fake diamond rings but I came across this and thought it was too bizarre not to share...

Who would buy that?! 🤨

Jappydooda · 21/11/2018 15:34

Try TJC or Gems TV - they will have Zircons - these are natural gemstones that are like diamonds.

Moissanite is another diamond-like man-made stone - do a google.

Swarovsky do some nice dress rings - very sparkly

Zoomzoomzoomzoom0 · 21/11/2018 15:45

Thanks folks, never even thought of qvc. I too am no precious stone expert, and very easy to fool so I'd be easy parted with my money! But not that easy Petulia, I'm all sorted for tiny headless women jewellery 😂😂

Pumperthepumper · 21/11/2018 15:53

Carat, the rings are excellent quality.

CMOTDibbler · 21/11/2018 15:56

I have some nice fake earrings from Heavenly Necklaces who also sell rings

Knowivedonewrong · 21/11/2018 16:07

I too recommend Diamonique and Warren James. They do some lovely pieces.

Cherries101 · 21/11/2018 16:09

Go a local South Asian jeweller if possible and ask for American Diamonds in gold or platinum— you’ll have access to some amazing pieces in 22 carat gold or platinum.

CemetaryGates · 21/11/2018 16:34

Would you consider second hand? There are some incredible pieces of real jewellery going for very (relatively) low sums of money at auction or estate sales.

For example, I saw a huge sapphire and diamond ring go for £600 recently -it came with the original receipt from a well known Beverley Hills jewellery store for the original price of just over $8k.

Obviously you don't need to spend £600 on a huge high carat ring, just an example of the bargains to be had.

CemetaryGates · 21/11/2018 16:36

This is the ring I mentioned above

There’s some beautiful moissanite on Etsy, definitely worth a look

AndSheWas85 · 21/11/2018 16:45

Yeah, Cubic Zirconia, is beautiful and unless you are an expert at telling diamonds from other Gems?

It always looks majestic and stunning as it catches the light in the same way, as any over priced diamond could.

Oblomov18 · 21/11/2018 16:48

I look regularly. For a big diamond ring. Silver.
And big drop earrings. Silver.

Can't find anything that looks even passable as real. They all look fake and as if they cost £12.95!!

SmithyDarlingLetsDoShots · 21/11/2018 16:48
