Started cooking dinner, opened chicken....

It will be bruising. Quite common in birds which have been shot. Pheasants for example. Doesn't look great though.

It could be ink, it is an inky colour but it's not from the label coz that is plastic . I am taking it back to Aldi tomorrow for my money back I only bought it today!

Take it back to the shop and ask them what's wrong with it. They won't know but at least you'll get a refund.

No no, I didn't mean it had been shot. Just that I had seen it when things had.

Now I look under a better light it is much more purple than I first thought. Very ink like as others say. I would also take that back though.

I knew it would be Aldi. Ugh! I stopped shopping there due to dodgy meat and veg that went rotten overnight.

Well I am not in the UK and normally the meat and veg in Aldi here is really good, so I was a bit surprised. But it does look very inky

The recipe is easy, cut broccoli up, boil for a few minutes in pan of water, scoop out, leaving water in pan, then cook pasta in the same water. Meanwhile cut up some bacon slices and fry them in a pan, while it is cooking slice up a couple of (non purple) chicken breasts. Remove bacon from pan and fry chicken. Add a bit of garlic and then some creme fraiche, I use a whole pot, bit of pepper, drain pasta, mix it all together, enjoy

I do reckon it is ink but it doesn't seem to say anything.....
