When we go, in her crate.

She sleeps on the sofa for hours before we put her to bed though Confused

Howtodeal · 17/11/2018 22:36

When we go, she sleeps in her basket next to my side of the bed.

Knittink · 17/11/2018 22:37

Sleeps most of the evening in his bed or on rug in living room while we are around. Goes for a wee, then to bed in his bed in the hallway when we go to bed (10.30 ish).

When we go. 2 sleep in living room. One, I'm ashamed to say has his own bedroom with a single bed and cartoon duvet cover 🙄

Sarahlou63 · 17/11/2018 22:37

1 sleeps in the kitchen, 1 on the sofa, 1 on my bed and 4 in their baskets in the utility room.

TillyVonMilly · 17/11/2018 22:39

Our two go to bed with us, they both have beds in our room although one usually sleeps in the middle of our bedSmile

When we go to bed. He comes up with us and sleeps on the end of the bed or under the covers with us both also has a bed in our room that he switches between

tabulahrasa · 17/11/2018 22:43

He sleeps in a crate in the living... he’s shut in when the last person up goes to bed, sometime between 1 and 2 usually - but he’s in there now with the door open has been for about an hour, he sometimes comes out and sleeps on the floor for a bit instead.

Westiegirl3 · 17/11/2018 22:44

One of ours takes herself to our bed anytime from about 8pm, the other comes to bed with us when we go. Both sleep on our bed, one usually on the pillows the other between us on top of the quilt.

Ellapaella · 17/11/2018 22:45

Our dog sleeps from about 9pm in the room where we are sitting in her basket or on our feet.
She comes up to our room when we go to bed and sleeps in her basket by the bed.
As a puppy she would go to sleep much later - we would need to tire her out with games etc and she'd sleep from about 10pm.

Retatata · 17/11/2018 22:47

They have their own beds in the hallway, normally take out for last toilet at 1am and they normally slink off to bed after that.

Cocolepew · 17/11/2018 22:48

When we go, but she stares and makes noises at us from 10.10 every night.
She sleeps on our bed.

Wallywobbles · 17/11/2018 22:48

In a building outside (not as grim as it sounds) when we are ready to go to bed. Their kennel is basically in a small outbuilding with a run. They've always slept with outside access so have never needed to be clean overnight. And as a result they aren't. If it's minus something they get to sleep in the back kitchen but it's messy.

MrBirlingsAwfulWife · 17/11/2018 22:51

When we go to bed and he sleeps on Dd's bed.

IsSheWeird · 17/11/2018 22:51

My dog is just glued to me, I have a varied sleep pattern, he will just snooze next to wherever I am.

What's the key to having a dog that will take themselves off to bed? Asking for a friend...

(Not for this dog, I only adopted him a couple of years ago and he's old and grumpy)

Shizzy · 17/11/2018 22:53

Any time between 10 and 11pm. He lets us know when it's bed time. He'll go out for a wee and then patiently wait for us to bring his bed, his blanket and his favourite toys into the kitchen where he spends the night.

heroverthere · 17/11/2018 22:55

After his last wee of the day, usually around 9pm, he'll then trot off to his bed just outside our bedroom. Wakes up when the baby wakes about 7am-ish but goes back to bed after he's had his breakfast!

Bigboxzoe · 17/11/2018 22:56

9pm on the dot, I can set my watch by it. She sleeps on her own blanket on a sofa and will huff and puff from 9 onwards as we are clearly disturbing her by being in the same room watching TV.

God forbid we have a very late night or a party. She is then utterly evil!

owowfuckeeow · 17/11/2018 22:58

She’s constantly sleeping Grin

She’ll come up to bed with us when we go to sleep. Sometimes if my DH stays up late she’ll take herself up to bed.

She likes to sleep on the bed. She’s very spoilt

eggncress · 17/11/2018 22:59

On his bed next to my bed, sometimes I wake up with him in or on my bed.
Another of my ( now deceased ) dogs used to sleep on my pillow and I’d wake up with her on my head Grin

whymewhyme · 17/11/2018 23:01

10pm, down stairs on the sofas, every morning around 5am one of the dogs sneaks upstairs and gets into our bed!

Honeyroar · 17/11/2018 23:03

Generally when we go. When getting elderly they sometimes take themselves off early. They sleep under the stairs in the kitchen.

CherryPavlova · 17/11/2018 23:10

In his crate when we go upstairs. About 10:30pm. He is taken out for a run about 7:30am.

inlectorecumbit · 17/11/2018 23:12

same time as we do -- goes up when l do, he starts off under our bed then goes between his own basket beside me or on a mat at the top of the stairs..
