Sounds like they’ve made an offer to another candidate. These days employers don’t always let you know.

Did they get as far as you in the process? If so; it's probably that they have a first choice but you're a close second.

It could just be that they're behind/still deliberating; though! Nothing wrong with following up at this point if you want to, though.

How frustrating OP! I think at this point I'd start assuming it probably wasn't a goer to manage my expectations but I don't think all hope is lost. They may just not be in any specific rush to urgently recruit so are either still interviewing this week or are deciding between candidates, or a number of potential scenarios really.
Are you waiting to hear back directly or did you go through a recruitment consultant? I'd the latter, i'd call or email and ask.

Yes that's what I'm thinking, I'm not a definite no but not their first choice. Damn :(

My sister had this recently, it quite shocked me- it does seem to be happening more. In her case simply the person who was meant to make contact t was off sick all week and no one bothered to follow up.

Thank you everyone. I've heard back, they're having a second round of interviews on Friday! So stress again but I suppose also another opportunity

Wonder if they have been spending all this time trying to decide and that’s why they’ve gone to second round.
