Are you being served? Is still flipping brilliant and the theme tune is perfect, the use of the sound of cash registers is innovative. I’ve heard many music critics say how brilliant the use of the sound of coins and cash tills in Pink Floyd’s Money is the work of musical genius. But Money was released in 1973. Are you being served? was out a year earlier in 1972

We watch Are You Being Served every evening...it’s so funny, but would never be made these days.
Personally my favourite theme tune is from the 70s - The Incredible Hulk

Controversial- I think that the success of Big Brother owed so much to the excitement of the tune. Love it.

Nobody can ever remember this, but Sparkling might (waves) Midnight is a Place. Kids programme, loved the music.
Dennis Waterman is face-palm famous for singing the invariably plinkyplonky "awright guv" theme for everything he acts in.
