I have such lovely memories of going to see the Fenwick's Windows at Christmas time. I am old so there wasn't a Greggs there then but bravo Greggs!

Ahhh great. I used to love a sausage roll from Greggs. My (gorgeous) Y1 teacher used to send out for a tuna stottie at dinner time.

Greggs is the bakery equivalent of sports direct. Undercut all the local bakers and push them to close because people value price over quality. I do t understand the hype to be honest.

You clearly haven't had one of their sausage rolls then. They are a thing to behold.

It took me a good while to get this, but then I scrolled down, the penny dropped and I was like 'ahhhhhh, very clever!'

Surely I’m not the only one who thinks it really isn’t particularly clever or initeresting? Or am I just not understanding the whole ‘fenwicks’ thing?

Their online ad where they took their food to a food fair and fed it to vair posh people without saying who they were ( branding was a fancy G I believe) was brilliant.

Both Greggs and Fenwick's window are institutions of Newcastle. Greggs also gave away free bakes to the crowds that were there for the unveiling of the window.

Fenwicks window in Newcastle is the start of Christmas for a lot of people. I know folk who were taken every year as kids to see it and are continuing the tradition with their own kids.

I understand the Fenwick window reversal thing but don’t understand the comments saying the reversal also makes it better/easier for people taking selfies outside Greggs.

Surely the writing would still be reversed in the photo? The article reads like for anyone taking a selfie the writing will now be the right way round?
