Why has no one here told me this before?

There is an entire shop that's like the wtf aisle at Aldi.

We found it this morning at an out of town place where we went to visit Dunhelm. And there it was. B&M. Full of wondrous tat useful items.

Grin Wait till you find a home bargains store.

magpie24 · 08/11/2018 11:41

There's one right near my house, actually quite handy for DIY and garden items. Not so useful for the weekly food shop!

TheMagicTorch · 08/11/2018 11:43

B&M is amazing. I go in for Washing Powder and come out £120 lighter, full of candles, fairy lights, storage baskets, tat...
and no washing powder.

Is brilliant for cat food and cat litter in bulk, if one remembers to buy it.

EnglishGirlApproximately · 08/11/2018 11:45

Bloody love B&M, get all of our junk foods from there Blush

bobstersmum · 08/11/2018 11:54

Agree with pp that home bargains is better! They have stuff in there for pence!

Jaxtellerswife · 08/11/2018 11:54

The toys at b&m are great. Reduced prices for named things, I love it there

Toddlerteaplease · 08/11/2018 12:09

Just wait till you discover Claus Olason

You’ve never seen a B&M before? Where do you live, the South Pole?? Shock

halfwitpicker · 08/11/2018 12:16

Tell me about it.

No-one told me about Led Zeppelin.

Huntlybyelection · 08/11/2018 12:17

The problem I have with B&M is I wander round the whole shop and convince myself I don't need any of it. Because it'll be there another day. And sometimes miss out in what I want to buy.

But in Aldi or Lidl I get the panic because I know for certain the stuff that has caught my eye won't be there in a day or two.

Meet0nTheIedge · 08/11/2018 12:18

I've only found out about them through MN. There's only one within about 25 miles of us and it's so tucked away at the back of an industrial estate that you'd never know it was there. Might pop in later now you mention it Grin

BrickByBrick · 08/11/2018 12:18

My local b&m has a freezer section, it is great. It also has a garden center bit.

twilightcafe · 08/11/2018 12:20

I haven't been to one, either. There isn't a branch in my town.

NicePieceOfPlaid · 08/11/2018 12:24

We only went in for a quick look but I had to send DH back to get a basket trolley.

I agree with others that you need to find a Home Bargains. It makes the prices you pay in B&M seem like Harrods prices

gussiefox · 08/11/2018 14:33

Mmmmmmm - B&M do Caramac Buttons and Malteser Buttons. OH is going back to the UK soon and he has been told in no uncertain terms not to think about coming home without stuffing his rucksack with as many bags of them as possible.

NancyDonahue · 08/11/2018 14:38

I love them all! B&M, Home Bargains and Wilko.

ManonBlackbeak · 08/11/2018 15:26

B&M is AMAZING. I don't go in there often because I end up buying lots or crap I don't need, but they do sell lots of really good stuff. My parents recently bought a TV stand from there and it's lovely. You can't do a full Shop at mine, but they do sell lots of cupboard staples like beans etc for reasonable prices.

Am very jealous of the poster who said there's has a freezer aisle!

Troels · 08/11/2018 15:33

We have them all in one shopping centre. B&M, Home bargains, Wilco, Aldi and Pound stretcher, it's like a day out in the isle of randomness. Love it.

MrsTommyBanks · 08/11/2018 15:41

I get all my bird seed, meatballs, mealworns in there. They are so cheap.
And giant tubes of Orange Smarties for £1!

gussiefox · 08/11/2018 15:55

Immediately adds Orange Smarties to OH's list.

Babybearsporij · 08/11/2018 16:26

I love B&M, Home Bargains and The Range! We have all 3 within a couple of miles of each other where I live. It's my guilty pleasure shopping trip when I have a day to myself. Blush

TOADfan · 08/11/2018 16:28

We have a home bargains, the range and b&m all beside each other here. Love them all but dangerous for my purse 😂

BarbaraofSevillle · 08/11/2018 16:33

I love them all! B&M, Home Bargains and Wilko

Come to my town, they're all in a line next to each other on the same retail park.
