For me it’s education threads. Oh my god

OP posts:
missmouse101 · 04/11/2018 21:46

Delivery drivers using toilets.

SleightOfMind · 04/11/2018 21:48

I once got overinvested in a laundry thread. Blush

PortiaCastis · 04/11/2018 21:49

Delivery driver took a dump and the stink made OP cry apparently

Interested in this thread?

Then you might like threads about this subject:

Sparklingbrook · 04/11/2018 21:50

I used to get stuck on cat poo ones but I don't bother now. Also parking threads have got a bit old.
Anything that's been done over and over and no conclusion reached I guess.

VenusClapTrap · 04/11/2018 21:55

There used to be a series of Boring Threads where posters would post things like “I think I might have a biscuit.” and “The leek that arrived in the online shop was smaller than expected.” They were actually quite soothing to read.

Sammysquiz · 04/11/2018 22:22

One about whether or not sugar should be added to bolognaise. I got very involved even though I don’t give a shit about what people do or don’t put in their cooking.

I think those types of thread are the equivalent of starting to watch a crappy Channel 5 movie and not being arsed to switch it off.

Sparklingbrook · 04/11/2018 22:28

How about the 'list' threads . Where a question gets asked such as 'what's your favourite margarine' or something equally banal.
Everyone answers but nobody reads anyone else's and there's just a massive list of makes of margarine.

I replied to a few to start with then just thought. Why??

NomNomNominativeDeterminism · 04/11/2018 22:36

I was absolutely doing my best not to say ‘this one’ and run away, but then I had to post or I would have had to use my hands instead to turn off Match of the Day 2. And then I would have to get up and go to bed.

Fewminmostly · 04/11/2018 22:36

Strongly disagree- the 'delivery man did a shit in my loo' is the best thing I've ever read. I howled laughing. This one is funny too.

Greensleeves · 04/11/2018 22:38

I got into a barney about soup yesterday.

It was oddly comforting. I have real scary shit going on IRL at the moment and fisticuffs about soup was so surreal, I quite enjoyed it.

Sparklingbrook · 04/11/2018 22:39

Oh was that the 'is soup a meal?' one? I just thought no and moved along without posting.

Greensleeves · 04/11/2018 22:40

That was the one. I'm still vaguely indignant now Grin

LaurieFairyCake · 04/11/2018 22:41

The Victoria sponge one

Hundreds of posts on how to make the best one. I read every post and even made a list of the best 'tips'.

I don't even bake

NomNomNominativeDeterminism · 04/11/2018 22:42

Soup is certainly a meal. Next!

Southampton have scored but not as often as Manchester City.

SoleBizzz · 04/11/2018 22:44

This one zzzzzzz

NomNomNominativeDeterminism · 04/11/2018 22:49

Hello OP why don’t you like education threads? There are people on the telly talking about football. Please drown them out.

EnidButton · 04/11/2018 23:00

Quite like the sound of that Venus.

Most tedious was a parking one. Wasn't even that bothered about the subject but somehow managed to get into a 'thing' with another poster. It was a boring subject and an even more boring disagreement. I avoid aibu now.

EnidButton · 04/11/2018 23:01

I like laundry ones and cleaning ones are boring but I like those too.

EnidButton · 04/11/2018 23:02

(Is soup a meal..? I think so)

Graphista · 04/11/2018 23:58

"How about the 'list' threads . Where a question gets asked such as 'what's your favourite margarine' or something equally banal." Just what I was going to say - usually I know better now. But sometimes I get sucked in - like the "great Yorkshire pudding debate" ugh

"I don't even bake" 😂😂😂

Thought it was just me did daft shit like that!

And yes soup is a meal - especially scots soups which are really more like thin stews, (unless it's my mothers broth which is delicious but you could cement walls with it!!)

Sparklingbrook · 05/11/2018 10:05

Yes, you think I need to tell everyone what my favourite margarine is then you realise nobody cares and weirdly generally the OP loses interest after a while. Grin

flatpack1 · 05/11/2018 10:17

The AMA ones were a total bore

KeiTeNgeNge · 05/11/2018 10:21

Oh god yes, those AMA threads!!!

Sparklingbrook · 05/11/2018 10:22

Yes they seem to have died down now thankfully. A couple of vaguely interesting ones but on the whole it was stuff you could ask someone in RL anytime you wanted. Or a subject that you couldn't think of a single question about.

BathFullOfEels · 05/11/2018 10:29

The AMA’s were all either hideously boring or completely fictional.

I have read so many ‘should I have a pop brush or not?’ debates in my time. I just can’t stop reading. Also cat poo and people letting cats shit in other people gardens, well I’ll just shit in someone’s garden then if a cat can, but cats have a right to roam unlike dogs, but my kids stood in a cat shit and once and I don’t even have cats, just keep your cat indoors, you can’t keep a cat indoors it’s cruel, cats kill wildlife, several links from RSPB about cats killing wildlife, several links from WWF about cats not having a significant effect on wildlife populations, I once saw a cat, but if I wanted a cat in my garden I would have got a cat, cats have always been in peoples gardens it’s what they do, put spikes/ lion poo/ sharp stones/ electric fence/ moats around your gardens and you won’t get cats, why should I spend money keeping your cat out of my garden? Ad infinitum.
