Anyone else having a mare of a day?

I've broken the till in McColl's with my prepayment key! Staff are on hold to the company - the money has left my account but isn't on the electric key... And the whole till is frozen!

Just me having a bad day?

I'm having a bad day too. Currently drowning in a sea of paperwork & end of month invoices that needs to be sorted before I go away tomorrow.

On top of which both DC are putting off doing homework and I'm losing all energy to nag them into doing it.

Whiskeyjar · 31/10/2018 15:53

Yes! I've been surviving on about two hours sleep a night for the past two weeks due to my four month old teething, I have a viral infection so feel like I have lead weights on my arms and legs, baby has been screaming all day and I feel like I'm about to fall apart. Tomorrow is a new day

DeathMetalMum · 31/10/2018 16:03

I had my bad day yesterday. Car wouldn't start so I had to rush to my mum's to drop dc off before I went to work and then get a taxi there and bus back. Dp and I had plans for a night away, which we decided to cancel because of the car troubles. Had to walk to the supermarket also. Kids have not long left to go for a sleepover, I'm waiting to crack open the Wine .

SneakyGremlins · 31/10/2018 16:42

Almost wine hour!

Go and read the thread by the woman with the blocked toilet!

cheesefield · 31/10/2018 16:45

Toilet disaster, blocked drain, cut hand, no antiseptic AIBIUhttp://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/amiibeingunreasonable/3410035-Toilet-disaster-blocked-drain-cut-hand-no-antiseptic-AIBIU

Yes me! I’ve changed internet provider, so of course the old one has disconnected today, while the new one won’t go live till tomorrow and I work from home. Packed my work stuff up to go to my DPs house to use their WiFi and got a flat tyre on the way! Eventually got here, and have had cups of tea and homemade biscuits so it’s all ok now Smile

IKnewTheStorm · 31/10/2018 16:54

Yes, my boyfriend broke up with me. I am drinking 🍷

OlobobTop · 31/10/2018 17:10

Yep, took DS to soft play forgetting it was half term twat and literally had the worst time of my life, it was absolutely rammed and hotter than the sun so I had big sweat patches on my grey top. DS did a massive sloppy shit and I forgot nappies, and when I checked his nappy I got poo all over my hand. Had to sit him on a bag for life on the way home so he didn't get poo in his car seat. THEN when we got home I got poo on the carpet when I was changing him 🤦🏽‍♀️

wrenika · 31/10/2018 17:43

Yes. I had a panic attack this morning when a colleague sat down to talk me through the next set of calculations. I have no idea why...I have severe anxiety but I didn't see that one coming. Then I had the anxiety dodgy belly day. And today was one of my colleague's last days and I'll really, really miss him. :(

triptrapdollydumpling · 31/10/2018 18:41

Yep, husband's van broken into last night. All work kit stolen, insurers playing silly devils! Angry

MrsJonesAndMe · 31/10/2018 19:18

Nothing too disastrous but a loooong week. Wine Gin and Flowers

LanguidLobster · 31/10/2018 19:24

IKnewTheStorm hope that is a good thing in the long term. I broke up with my boyfriend earlier (not LT), staying with a friend and because she is so noisy she told me to go to her bedroom whilst she cooked.

I'm having a crafty cigarette as I've been banned from the kitchen, hope she doesn't go mental Blush

SneakyGremlins · 31/10/2018 19:26

Languid! Put that out.

Flowers for everyone

On holiday, fortunately still on the UK, and perfectly healthy 2yo suddenly developed and cold which has turned massively wheezy and did I pack his inhaler? I did not. And the fact that I forgot it when he needed it has really pissed me off. About an hour and a half on the phone to our GP trying to sort a prescription, and then find a local pharmacy, and then they had the inhaler but not the spacer so we had to traipse around again for that... Not the end of the world but not the relaxing fun holiday day I had hoped for!

ChorleyFMcominginyourears · 31/10/2018 19:31

Me too! The puppy had been ill in the night so her crate was covered in sick and poo so i had to clean that at 6am, then Slipped on ice on the way to my car at 6:30 this morning, slipped again getting in the car which made me kick my clutch pedal and took all the skin on my foot, couldn't find a parking space when I got to work, I'm the only one in the office from 7-9 and the phone didn't stop ringing from staff with major problems! Finished work at 9 and got home to the dishwasher blocked and not draining but things got better from then and now I'm back at work till 10pm and looking forward to a huge glass of wine!!!

LanguidLobster · 31/10/2018 19:35

sneaks but I'm so HUNGRRRY

beela · 31/10/2018 19:41

We're on holiday too, and 8yo ds has been a git all week. He pushed it too far today and I lost my temper and properly shouted at him, in the middle of a lovely quiet little market town.

I am surreptitiously sneaking around mumsnet looking for a thread about me Blush

LadySybilPussPolham · 31/10/2018 20:43

Yep. Had to have our darling old dog put to sleep today, 8 months after her soulmate. They were joined at the hip, even down to contracting the same bloody cancer

ohtheholidays · 31/10/2018 22:10

Yes was looking forward to Halloween but our youngest DD who is disabled woke up this morning with a high temperature and a bad chest,so she's missed school(she love's school)she's missed out on going trick or treating and we've missed out on a close friends Halloween party we were all looking forward to and she's still no better so I think we'll be spending tomorrow morning at the Dr's and now I think I'm going down with it as well and I'm immunosuppressed so that will be fun.

I hope everyone's week starts getting better Flowers

ohtheholidays · 31/10/2018 22:12

I am so sorry Lady I can still remember the heart break of having to make that choice with our family dogs when I was a teenager.Flowers

IHaveBrilloHair · 31/10/2018 22:14

I'm in hospital, been here since last night.
I have brittle asthma and had a bad attack.
I'm used to it and know what to expect etc, but I haven't got half the stuff I want because my 17yr old decided today was a good time to act like a dickhead.

123bananas · 31/10/2018 22:14

3 kids with D&V, DH with a chest infection, a 46 hour week with night shifts at work and I feel like I am getting a cold Sad

FoodGloriousFud · 31/10/2018 22:16

Yes!! Retail manager and had some really awful customers today, one incredibly intimidating man who backed down as soon as a bloke came behind the till. Vile.

brizzledrizzle · 31/10/2018 22:18

I'm on holiday but I've been working for the last four nights and still got loads to do.
