Sopranos?
Breaking Bad?
Prison Break?
24?

I loved Sopranos as I was pregnant with my first and loved snuggling up every night on the sofa watching it while feeling bump wriggle about.

Loved the ending of MadMen
Also loved the Good Wife - peaked about half way through, was a bit rubbish at the end.

I love greys anatomy, currently rewatching the entire series for the 4th time.

PawneeParksDept · 30/10/2018 18:07

@ChoccyJules I finally watched it in its entirety, having only got to Season 5 (bit of a lull) twice, I cried when it ended I felt bereft.

Game of Thrones.
If I had to get rid of all the boxsets and only keep one, there is no shadow of a doubt, I’ll keep GoT

Desperate housewives

@Haircutdilemma really don't put yourself through the aching disappointment that is Dexter. Universally considered one of the worst finales in TV history.

Peep Show

Just an absolutely perfect representation of life for lower middle-class 30-somethings in London

ChoccyJules · 30/10/2018 18:11

@PawneeParksDept I know what you mean. I rewatch it every so often but I leave a good gap between watches, by which I mean over a year.
It touches every emotion and engages the brain as well.

The West Wing and Frasier for me. Even though both could have/ should have ended earlier

SatsumaFan · 30/10/2018 18:13

I came on to say Six Feet Under! Think I have the DVD box set in the loft.

Have never seen West Wing, Dexter, Grey's Anatomy or Mad Men. Might give them a whirl.

tillytoodles1 · 30/10/2018 18:19

G of T, Sopranos and Desperate Housewives.

New Girl

MyGhoulMumsnet · 30/10/2018 18:24

Another vote for The West Wing - some of the finest TV ever made.

Have you seen this site? You can calculate how much time you've spent watching box sets.

icebearforpresident · 30/10/2018 18:26

The West Wing
Friday Night Lights
Breaking Bad

In that order.

All of you saying the west wing check out the west wing weekly podcast! It’s hosted by Hrishikesh Hirway and Joshua Molina (aka Will Bailey) and has regular appearances by the cast and Arran Sorken.

CircleofWillis · 30/10/2018 18:27

The Wire
Game of Thrones
Fringe

icebearforpresident · 30/10/2018 18:28

Aaron Sorkin! Christ I call myself a WW super fan and get that wrong (in my defence I can see the Isle of Arran from my house!)

Biologifemini · 30/10/2018 18:31

Frasier
Friends
The Americans

All sooo good

Nothisispatrick · 30/10/2018 18:32

Game of thrones

The Wire, definitely the most emotionally invested I’ve ever been in a tv show.

BrokenMachine · 30/10/2018 18:32

House and Dexter.

MissionItsPossible · 30/10/2018 18:34

What counts as a box set? I'd say The Comeback but it has two seasons.

helzapoppin2 · 30/10/2018 18:34

Gavin and Stacey is the one I resort to for comfort tv.

PepperStakes · 30/10/2018 18:36

Band of Brothers - we watch it every summer over a week. I still get characters in it mixed up tbeough when they wear their helmets.
Friday Nights Lights - Lots of people wouldn’t give it a go because of the American Football side of the story but it’s truly one of the best things I have ever seen. The characters are so realistic and so are the relationships between them. The second series is a bit of a dud due to the writers strike but if you can power through that there is a great pay off. Clear Eyes True Hearts Can’t Lose.

WhoGivesADamnForAFlakeyBandit · 30/10/2018 18:38

West Wing.

caringcarer · 30/10/2018 18:38

Big Love and Game of Thrones. I have watched both about three times.

bluetrampolines · 30/10/2018 18:40

Designated Survivor. The story was excellent!
