Has anyone had a flu jab yet and if Yes, any reaction to it?

Had one last year, no after effects at all. However, I understand this is a new improved version that may make you feel a bit off. Has anyone had it yet?

Had mine this afternoon. Probably a bit early to get any reactions but I just have the normal slightly dead arm so far.

ThatLibraryMiss · 30/10/2018 16:40

Yes. No reaction whatsoever, not even a tender spot. Asda's cheapest, if you're paying for it yourself.

Redglitter · 30/10/2018 16:41

I got mine last month. My arm was slightly warm to the touch the following day. Other than that no problems

My arm hurt and was red around the jab area for a good few days. Also felt hot to touch and a bit itchy. I had it last Thursday and it is ok now.

SisterA · 30/10/2018 16:41

I had it last week and had no reaction whatsoever Smile

MrsEricBana · 30/10/2018 16:42

Yes. Sore arm that night. V relieved to have had it.

AuntieStella · 30/10/2018 16:43

I've had one. Small amount of fullness/tenderness around the jab site later in the day, but it had completely passed off by the following morning.

Gramgram · 30/10/2018 16:44

There are two versions of the flu jab this year. I had the under sixty five one. My arm developed a hard lump where the injection site was and was very red and sore. It passed after about four days, it did however get me out of all those chores I don't like doing, like cleaning the bathroom, DH did it.

Cleanermaidcook · 30/10/2018 16:44

Had it last week, no reactions

UpOnDown · 30/10/2018 16:44

Yes, just a slightly sore arm

BigRedBoat · 30/10/2018 16:45

Slightly sore arm for a day - that's it.

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 30/10/2018 16:47

3-4 weeks ago, local pharmacy, felt nothing, then sore arm for 2 days.
And now I have ... mild flu! Halloween Angry

MissDai5y · 30/10/2018 16:48

No reaction except for red and sore in the location of injection for a few days.

On the morning of the injection the nurse did say to stay in the waiting room for 5 mins or so as they said it could make me feel woozy and they'd had one fainter already (this was before 9am).

KnobOfStork · 30/10/2018 16:50

Normally feel absolutely hideous with a sore heavy arm for two weeks but this year I had no pain, some vague warmth on my arm and a couple of days after I was a bit warm and had an itchy nose. It was absolutely fine and beats being hospitalised with the actual flu not just a bad cold the flu Grin

wonkylegs · 30/10/2018 16:52

I've had it, DH has had it and also took DS (he had to have the jab rather than the nose spray for medical reasons) and my elderly mother
We have all been fine, I didn't even have a sore arm this time.

Stupomax · 30/10/2018 16:52

Slightly sore arm. Not as sore as the previous day when I'd had allergy shots in both arms.

Ilovewheelychairs · 30/10/2018 16:55

I had similar to a PP. Red, raised, hot and sore lump at the injection site for about 4 days. Otherwise, was totally well in myself, unlike last year where I felt 'off' for a good couple of weeks afterwards.

Flower777 · 30/10/2018 16:59

Does the injection itself hurt?

Fightthebear · 30/10/2018 17:02

Just a minor jab.

No reaction at all here but I hope it’s more effective than last year’s one.

AnyFucker · 30/10/2018 17:03

Sore arm for a day. That's it. Never had a reaction to a flu jab.

Topseyt · 30/10/2018 17:04

Yes. Had it about three weeks ago. No reaction at all.

HashTagLil · 30/10/2018 17:04

Big red lump on my arm and nausea and tiredness for a few days.

WeeBeasties · 30/10/2018 17:07

I had a double whammy of flu jab and whooping cough at the same time, one in each arm. Sore arm for a few days but that's it.

Motability · 30/10/2018 17:10

Not even a sore arm for the first time ever!

misscockerspaniel · 30/10/2018 17:17

I had it three weeks ago and have not had any reaction, not even a sore arm Smile
