It doesn’t look good does it?

Really hope that things are not as bad as it seems but the fact the police are not saying anything about survivors being taken to hospital speaks volumes.

Yep ken we said the same live in Leicestershire and that’s always a busy main route into the city centre. A couple more seconds and it would have been over the Leicester Royal Infirmary.

Bestseller · 28/10/2018 08:47

I don't know ClashCityRocker, I barely use my phone camera, so it wouldn't even occur to me but quite often in these situations accident investigators appeal for people with footage to help the investigation

DewDropsonKittens · 28/10/2018 08:57

Horrific scenes Sad

DewDropsonKittens · 28/10/2018 09:17

There is a lot of speculation on Twitter, have looked through a few feeds but nothing confirmed
Silence may suggest that they don't know or they're not saying if they do

Bestseller · 28/10/2018 09:27

There must be lots of people at the club who know exactly who was on board, so we'll done to them that there don't appear to be any credible leaks. The apparent confirmation that is out there seems to have come from the family.

mpsw · 28/10/2018 09:27

Sorry to be grim, but when there is a fireball, it can take considerably longer to establish information about casualties than with other types of incident.

JacquesHammer · 28/10/2018 09:29

I rather suspect it’s known exactly who was on board, but they’re informing families first.

Moonflower12 · 28/10/2018 10:03

My DP was on scene there last night. (Ambulance). He is not himself this morning. He has cried before work. He never cries.

wheresmyhairytoe · 28/10/2018 10:06

It's been confirmed him and his daughter were among 5 people on board.

moonflower my thoughts are with your husband, what a horrific thing to deal with.

Bestseller · 28/10/2018 10:33

Some horrible speculation about the fifth person, they really need to make a statement now. Also about the possibility of any casualties on the ground.

AlexaShutUp · 28/10/2018 10:33

Flowers for your DH, moonflower, and for all of the other emergency services personnel who have been assisting at the scene. Such an incredibly hard job.

BrokenRocket · 28/10/2018 10:34

Just so sad thoughts with the families affected and the people involved

ButtMuncher · 28/10/2018 11:04

How awful Sad Huge respect for Leicester City although not a fan. What a dark day for them.

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 28/10/2018 11:11

I was coming on to say its pretty sure that the owner was on board, thetes a picture of him boarding it.

The player that apparently ran out was kasper schmichel.

It is horriably reminsinisant of the matthew harding crash in 1996,

Really not a gopd day for football yeasterday. Although its days like this that show as territoial and tribal as football is the whole community will come together to support the Leicester city staff, coaches players and fans. Sometimes its the best community.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 28/10/2018 11:21

I don't get why anyone would film that moment.. And had to be told to stop as well.

Horrible tragedy. I don't see how the outcome can be anything that what is feared. People leaving tributes at the stadium so even though not official.. Seems sadly obvious what the outcome is.

Last week was the anniversary of Matthew Harding as well.

Thirtyrock39 · 28/10/2018 11:41

My husband and daughter were at the match and I was at a party and someone said about the crash- thankfully they were already on the train home and didn't know anything about it till I called them.
Such sad news it really would be a horribly tragic ending to what has been a fairytale up till now for Leicester fans

Moonflower12 · 28/10/2018 11:52

Thank you for his flowers, ladies. I will tell him you've sent them.

AllSouls · 28/10/2018 11:59

The club directors won't be able to make any disclosures without explicit permission from the family, who are extremely hands-on owners, run a very tight ship, and micro-manage even the smallest decisions from Thailand -- and are also extremely private and media-averse.

Bestseller · 28/10/2018 12:04

Although what little news there has been seems to have been confirmed by the family All Souls?

I think they're probably waiting for the other families involved, rather then the owners. Which is as it should be, although the longer it goes on the more speculation there is which must be upsetting for those involved.

Toddlerteaplease · 28/10/2018 12:05

@KenAdams, yes. That was my thought as well. Terrible tragedy though it is. It could have been much much worse. Leicester born and bred.

AllSouls · 28/10/2018 12:08

I just saw 'a source close to the family' credited with the information that Khun Vichai and one of his daughters was on board -- has there been an official statement from either King Power or the club? I wasn't aware.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 28/10/2018 12:09

No official statement yet.

HiHoToffee · 28/10/2018 12:14

My thoughts are with all those who are affected by this crash Sad

MissLingoss · 28/10/2018 12:20

The boys in the Thai cave rescue are due to attend the match at Man Utd today. Sad that what should have been a celebration for them will now be a very sad day. Before the crash happened, I was wondering if they would also be invited to Leicester, because of the Thai connection.

CarolDanvers · 28/10/2018 12:23

Family all from Leicester though I am an army brat so not born there and live elsewhere . My cousin and her family were at the match. Not a massive football fan but do follow. This has hit me really hard not sure why. I just know how much the club means to so many and Leicester is "home" for me iyswim? So very, very sad for all affected.
