Who else is up?

My 4 week old has a cold so I have been up since 2 with her. I’ve managed about 2 hours sleep. The 2 year old appears to not be sleeping tonight either. I think I am going to get up, make a cup of tea and put a film on but It’s so cold out of bed that I’m struggling to get motivated. Anyone else up?

I'm up. Anxiety.
On the upside my youngest DS4 has snuck in my bed so I can snuggle up to him.

FTFF · 27/10/2018 04:38

I'm nightshift and struggling to stay awake! For once the people in my care are behaving (to an extent!) so it's a long night. I won't get to sleep until 11ish today and I'm not sure how I'm going to stay awake.

Hope your DC let you get a bit more sleep before they're up for the day.

SlimGin · 27/10/2018 04:38

Chuck on your dressing gown and do it, and then wrap up in blankets when you're down there. I'm also up with my 4 week old but just because she's a terrible sleeper!
Hope your little one feels better soon!

I'm here. Not slept a full night since dd was born.

She is 19 and at University. Hmm

It is bloody cold isn't it? I'm not tramping down two flights of stairs so a glass of water will have to do.

vampirethriller · 27/10/2018 04:43

I am, can't sleep. 39 weeks pregnant and can't get comfy at all plus reflux that won't go away so I've made tea and am sitting up with the dog on my knee.

wowfudge · 27/10/2018 04:44

Me - woken by DP snoring but I wasn't sleeping well anyway. Got a busy day ahead (friends' wedding) and must not be late! I need to get ready somewhere between the hairdresser's and the wedding venue as there isn't time for me to go home.

FiresideTreats · 27/10/2018 04:45

Me too. 6 month old has a cold and can only sleep propped upright. I am freezing too but it helps me stay awake!

Magissa · 27/10/2018 04:46

I'm up because even though I was really tired last night, I just couldn't sleep until I knew my daughter was home safely. I heard her come in but by then my mind was in overdrive thinking about all sorts of things. I'm still wide awake.

Upsetmummy27 · 27/10/2018 04:47

Well the toddler is now in with me so I guess I’ll try to settle him before getting up. He usually sleeps well so I’m not sure why he’s up tonight.
FTFF I hope you manage to stay awake. It’s horrible to be so tired.
So many people lying awake. It’s miserable being awake at such an antisocial hour isn’t it?

I’m up, off to Belgium today and so can’t sleep with excitement and worry about travel!!
I remember when my ds18 was young, it was the first year of big brother An was summer, I sat up watching other ppl sleep as bb went on through the nightGrin he’s now off at uni!! Time flies An the saying-“ this too shall pass “ is very true

Upsetmummy27 · 27/10/2018 04:52

Oh enjoy Belgium gohackyourself. That sounds like a good reason to be up at least.
I remember sitting up through the night with my eldest 11 years ago as well watching mindless tv. I’ve never seen big brother though.

I'm awake- so exhausted with work I dropped to sleep at 8pm ... come 4am I'm wide awake!
Its scary how quick time goes by it really is

Kezzie200 · 27/10/2018 05:01

Me!

notangelinajolie · 27/10/2018 05:02

I was woken by DH's phone - someone from work just rang him with a problem. He's sorted it and is now happily snoring away Hmm

BagelDog · 27/10/2018 05:03

Five month old has a cold and has stopped sleeping.... took a car ride to get him off earlier which is madness. Oh had him pacing downstairs while I spelt fit two hours and now my turn so I am wandering around the house in the dark with him in a sling with the dogs following me. Such fun.

Tattandthis · 27/10/2018 05:03

Dog wanted a wee.

Stupidly looked at phone and am now wide awake

Upsetmummy27 · 27/10/2018 05:09

My toddler is asleep but the baby is awake again. If it wasn’t for the fact the baby’s only 4 weeks I’d think they planned it.
bagel that doesn’t sound much fun at all. I hope your little one feels better soon and you can catch up on your sleep.
not I always wonder how some people can go straight back to sleep after a phone call or something in the night. I’d be up for at least an hour or sk after that.

Im.up feeling unwell with toilet trouble! I feel sick too! im slowly sipping water praying it will all be ok!

TopBitchoftheWitches · 27/10/2018 05:13

I am.

I've had a rotten cold for two weeks and fell asleep on the sofa last night about 6pm until 9pm went to bed, slept and woke up coughing at 3.00am, seems to be getting better now though.

Blue25654 · 27/10/2018 05:13

I’m also up with a 4 week old with a cold. Eldest has had it on and off for 7 weeks now (presumably picking up different ones back to back). The idea of sitting up all night watching other people sleep on BB Grin hope all goes smoothly with birth vampire i was up half-all the night with reflux and restless legs towards the end too. Probably too late now but i got a proper reflux wedge pillow which helped.

Strawberrybelly · 27/10/2018 05:15

I'm awake, Dd had me up from 3-4 then I went back to sleep until 4.50. Just about to go to work.

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 27/10/2018 05:18

I'm up but always wake early. Waiting til it gets light so I can go for a run on the hills behind the house.

mumto2babyboys · 27/10/2018 05:19

I am. Anxiety

1 year old only sleeps for 90mins at a time, wakes up then goes back to sleep then by about 6am he will be awake for the day

My house is really old and draughty, had the heating on all night because it's brrrrrr

mumto2babyboys · 27/10/2018 05:19

Awh 4 week old with a cold. Poor little thing

Peridot1 · 27/10/2018 05:20

I’m awake too. No cuddly babies here though. Kind of miss those days. My ‘baby’ is now 17 and submits to a hug occasionally on special occasions only.

I have a headache from too much wine last night. And too much wine makes me wake at stupid o’clock anyway. Don’t normally get a headache though. Would go and get painkillers but that will wake the dogs. Hopefully will get back to sleep in a bit. Can lie in as it’s Saturday.
