Who else is up?

My 4 week old has a cold so I have been up since 2 with her. I’ve managed about 2 hours sleep. The 2 year old appears to not be sleeping tonight either. I think I am going to get up, make a cup of tea and put a film on but It’s so cold out of bed that I’m struggling to get motivated. Anyone else up?

I'm up. 5 weeks pregnant and my only symptom (sore boobs) has disappeared. Took another test and it's still a strong line on not much urine but this is how it started before.

Idontbelieveinthemoon · 27/10/2018 05:25

Been awake since 4, just got up and made a cuppa because i've admitted defeat. It's the first day of our half term so I'll be on the floor by 5pm.

I am awake. Keeping an eye on my poorly cat. She had an op today and has been very sick. She seems OK now so bed for me after my glass of wine.

I'm up, because ds (aged 17) has gone off with a couple of friends to do the London tube challenge thing, where you visit as many tube stations as you can in a day! They are driving from Ipswich to Romford I think, then getting an overground train to their first tube stop. Ds left the house at 04.40, so I have been up since about 4.30.
Sitting here with a nice pot of tea.

For those with the little babies, the colds and sniffles will always pass, but their always worse at night time.eldest son used to always get earaches and ear would be bright red an throbbing- now, as I say he’s 18 and permanently seems to have earphones plumbed in and a phone Grin
If you have a partner , it’s always worth one if you trying to squeeze in an afternoon nap ready for the night ahead when their ill!!
It used to be in those wee small hours that my tired brain would get the better of me and think .. it it chicken pox, meningitis, fever etc etc all the worst things.
Be kind to yourself when kids are young ( I have ds 11, still trying to practice this myself)!Flowers

Upsetmummy27 · 27/10/2018 05:34

I’ve never heard of the london tube challenge. Is that literally all you do? Just visit lots of tube stations?
Baby and I are up in the living room with a cup of tea watching Harry Potter and the philosophers stone. Well I am. She’s trying unsuccessfully to sleep on me but keeps thrashing around in discomfort.

I already convinced myself it must be bronchiolits and we’ll have to take her to the hospital gohackyourself. It’s not entirely unreasonable as my oldest had it and was quite poorly when she was a baby but you are right about it always being the middle of the night that you convince yourself of it.

Upset, yes, the aim is to visit all of them in one day if you can! You have to take a photo of the sign on each platform to prove you've been there. Ds has made a very complicated plan of the order in which they are going to visit stations...

confusedandemployed · 27/10/2018 05:41

Awake, having a coffee in bed. Leaving 7am for an all day exercise training course. I'm very excited, been waiting nearly 2 years for this....

lljkk · 27/10/2018 05:42

Insomnia. Cats. A very loudly snoring cat, actually(!)
I am pondering whether to go swimming at 7am.
Could start the wood-stove fire & ponder which items to declutter.

Westiegirl3 · 27/10/2018 05:42

I'm up, usual time of waking for a work day only it's my day off Hmm
H and doggies are all sleeping peacefully and I'm thinking about the mountain of washing that I need to get done so think I'll get up and make a start.
Had a long stretch of back to back shifts, I'm totally exhausted still and so wanted to try and sleep a bit longer this morning.
Hope you all have a lovely Saturday

Everything is always worse at night. Illnesses, worries, anything can conspire to keep us awake all red eyed and crinkly. I can still hear my husband at night and he died in January. I know it's just my mind. Still unsettling though.

purplecorkheart · 27/10/2018 05:46

I woke up at four with a massive nose bleed. Trying to decide whether to get up and pack for weekend away or to go back to sleep.

Tisfortired · 27/10/2018 05:46

Me, DS (5) has a bad cough and started with it at around 5am, he slept through until then luckily.

Just got into pyjamas. It's very cold tonight.
Night night brrrr...

Upsetmummy27 · 27/10/2018 06:13

Sorry to hear about your husband frogface. It is freezing. I have dressing gown, blanket, fleece lined socks and the heating on and I am still cold.

LaurieFairyCake · 27/10/2018 06:20

Also up. Bit earlier than I'd like (flodded with period blood) but I've got the snuggly dog and coffee.

And I've put the heating on and it's currently 20 degrees so feeling warmer at least.

socktastic · 27/10/2018 06:21

@allthegoodusernameshavegone I feel your pain! Are you getting your gall bladder removed? I ended up in hospital after a 7 hour attack which had me on the floor! After that they decided just to whip it out there and then (well 3 days later...) I hope it lessens soon, it really is the worst

Flower777 · 27/10/2018 06:54

I’m awake. It’s 1.54am here. DD feels like she is going to be sick.

LanguidLobster · 27/10/2018 07:21

I've been awake 2 hours now listening to music. Sky is turning turquoise.

Deliberating what to do as I have to cook a friend breakfast (could wait until 9am) and want to see my bf but not sure he's up yet. Will call him.
