Hello - we're going to Bruges with 2 DCs (9 and 11). Does anyone have any brilliant suggestions? We're thinking walking, maybe a river cruise?
Many thanks

Get moules frites and beer. Look around the shops. Get more beer and more frites. Bruges is lovely.

Climb the clock tower
Canal boat cruise
Chocolate museum - never made it into the chip museum next door but was intrigued as to how a whole museum could be devoted to the humble frite!
Eat in cafes and restaurants off the main square for great food and much cheaper - definitely have a waffle as well
Torture museum
Stroll round at night when everything is lit up

Another vote for eating Dame Blanche!

Also you might like a wander around the Vis Markt to see the fab seafood and fresh fish displays. It's open Tues ~ Sat mornings, so go early morning if you are in that area.

Climb the clock tower. Grote Markt is lovely.

If you are there for more than a couple of days, go to Ghent. It is about half an hour by train and a tram ride into the city from the station.
