What toilet roll do you like?

Boring question but the last couple of toilet roll brands we have had keep disintergrating, currently using cushelle quilted and even that just seems to stick! Not really a question you ask in real life!

Andrew is really bad now compared to what it wa. Just realised how old I sound!

chickywoo · 22/10/2018 21:57

Aldi ‘Saxon superior’ 24 rolls for about £5
In a brown and cream packaging with a picture of a tiger on it, it’s 3 ply nice & soft and smells nice, used to only ever buy Andrex but can’t justify the cost.

LuckyDiamond · 22/10/2018 21:58

Costco own brand

What a shit post !
Seriously though. I always prefer the quilted ones and for years have stuck with Andrex or recently Cushelle. Would be interested to find out others opinions as we go through a fair few rolls of the stuff.

Dafspunk · 22/10/2018 21:59

Bizarrely... ‘Nicky’ from our corner shop - lovely!

youngestisapsycho · 22/10/2018 21:59

I’ve always used Sainsbury’s own... I’ve seen it slated on here many a time but we find it perfectly fine.. it does the job it’s meant to.

Clawdy · 22/10/2018 22:00

I always bought the Aldi Saxon, liked the fact you could buy it in cream colour, and it was nice and soft! But they seem to have changed it now, it's much....crisper.

crocsaretoocoolforschool · 22/10/2018 22:01

Whatever is on offer when I go shopping

I have loyalty

Methe · 22/10/2018 22:03

Lidl basic - the one that the rolls are double length.

I wipe my arse with it, I’m not going to be spending any more money on it that absolutely necessary.

Jakethekid · 22/10/2018 22:06

Asda shades. Much better than andrex and cheaper

BitchyChuckle · 22/10/2018 22:06

I like cushelle quilted too. It’s not so quilted that it blocks the drains!

daphine2004 · 22/10/2018 22:06

I know what you mean. We go through so many brands trying to find a good one! Aldi’s own or velvet from anywhere. Also like Cushelle quilted when it’s on offer.

AGHHHH · 22/10/2018 22:07

Any that doesn't shred my arse. I don't have a preference. Wine

GraveyardScapers · 22/10/2018 22:07

I’ve got IBD so I value toilet paper Grin I used to use Andrex quilted but it’s gone really rough recently so I’ve been trying supermarkets’ own brand quilted stuff and all I’ve tried are quite good, Asda, Waitrose and Sainsbury’s. If I had to pick one, I think Asda’s is slightly better.

Blackladybug · 22/10/2018 22:08

The Tesco spring? One. Has flowers on the pack. So soft.

Mumthedogsbeensick · 22/10/2018 22:09

Another vote for Nicky Aloe Vera. I get a 12 roll pack from home bargains for £3.99 it's lovely and soft and thick!

Mum2jenny · 22/10/2018 22:10

Andrex gentle is my preferred choice.

GoodbyeSummer · 22/10/2018 22:11

Those Nicky ones from Home Bargains. Cheap but thick and soft enough to do the job well.

PortiaCastis · 22/10/2018 22:12

Anything that's soft, I don't like the chuff scuff variety

margaritasbythesea · 22/10/2018 22:12

The second cheapest one of Tesco own brand. Still much cheaper than the rest and good. Cheapest one is also good.

PickleSarnie · 22/10/2018 22:13

I've just started getting this. Actually really good. Not as shiny white as most loo rolls but my bum doesn't care.

My kids have learnt a new word though.

What toilet roll do you like?
PickleSarnie · 22/10/2018 22:13

This even..

What toilet roll do you like?
LooksBetterWithAFilter · 22/10/2018 22:14

Nicky here too. Can but it in all the cheap shops and corner shops.
I find the big brands and quilted in particular too thick and the value ones too thin and just tear.

PickleSarnie · 22/10/2018 22:14

Sorry for double pic. Didn't show first time round initially

TokyoSushi · 22/10/2018 22:15

I actually like the coconut ones, but I know that virtually nobody else does!
