I have an outrageous 960. I really need to do some email housekeeping... Can anyone else beat that?

@rainbowinacloud l set up folders for mine like DD school, emails to keep, geocaching (my hobby) ext and if it relates to what I want to keep I move it into that folder. If it doesn't I delete it. I have 0 unread but thousands kept..

curious2 · 21/10/2018 23:35

95,335

JustMarriedAndLovingIt · 22/10/2018 07:31

Over 29,000 🤦‍♀️

GeoffreysCat · 22/10/2018 07:37

55494 Mostly unread ones. I'm mid 40s so definitely not young!

Akire · 22/10/2018 07:42

Have just got it below 5000 and v pleased! Can’t just delete the lot as might “need” some so trying to ditch 100 a day but probable get 30 day so haveto keep at it.

Notjustanyone · 22/10/2018 09:49

11 read just need to be filed away & 1 unread.

I like a clean inbox but I've lots of presents to arrive for Christmas in the next few days and I like to file the invoices when I've received the items. It'll be empty again by Wednesday I should think.

I couldn't stand to have thousands of emails in my in box. How do you find anything especially in a rush?

I have lots of files for everything from car insurance to beauty treatment appointments and everything has a place.

It probably helps that all my spam gets deleted once a week and anything I inadvertently signed up to goes straight there.

CutesyUserName · 22/10/2018 09:51

Josiebloggs · 22/10/2018 09:53

62530 unread probably half that again that have been read.

MulticolourMophead · 22/10/2018 09:55

Approx 30

Magicstar1 · 22/10/2018 10:06

Unread I have 100,566 Grin

pinkandstripey · 22/10/2018 10:10

I'm feeling peculiar just imagining these numbers 😳

0 personal unread. When I worked, I dealt with emails several times a day, so as few as possible unread.

I unsubscribe to anything which isn't relevant or useful any more - so no more emails telling me about baby sleeping bag sales 😆 I don't give my email out in shops instead of a receipt 😡

How do you all sleep at night 😳

GoodbyeSummer · 22/10/2018 10:11

0 unread as I open/sort/print if needed/delete as soon as I check. I also empty the spam folder regularly too. I hate having a messy email because that's how I miss things.

Justkeepsledging · 22/10/2018 10:25
  1. Which sounds like I'm on top of it until I add it was zero four hours ago.

Cutesbabasmummy · 22/10/2018 10:29

49, 832 unread....

OhFlipMama · 22/10/2018 10:30

I turned off the little icon that shows, from the main phone screen, how many there are.

Hushnownobodycares · 22/10/2018 10:32

I use unrollme and cull the rest very regularly.

Ive been trying to delete 100 per day but I'm still not getting anywhere

puppymouse · 22/10/2018 14:50
  1. I'm one of those weirdos that can't look at notifications and not get rid of them.
Hidingtonothing · 22/10/2018 15:01

Ha, I cleared mine recently and am now down from over 10,000 to 318 so feeling pretty bloody pleased with myself Grin

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 22/10/2018 15:18

At work I have what needs to be dealt with in in my inbox and everything else is filed. So around 30 at a time.

Personal email only has things like tickets or order confirmations that I'm waiting for. Otherwise I delete everything.

I cannot stand a full inbox. It makes me feel untidy!

spiderlight · 22/10/2018 15:41

Four.

I thought I was bad with a couple of hundred. I'm guilty of keeping the main inbox as a kind of storage facility for some things. Other items are filed and sometimes never looked at again.

Delatron · 22/10/2018 15:50

Think is, until I checked I couldn’t have told you so I don’t see the benefit of a low number anymore. I can’t be bothered to constantly delete stuff and I never miss anything.
