I accidentally let my washing get darked on...

And now I have indisputable proof that spiders wipe their willies on it overnight

That's it, never again will I risk it. I'll always leave my comfy and warm blanket nest in the sofa when I remember I've left it out!

Log it with the police.

MrsEricBana · 21/10/2018 10:45

Then burn it.

MrsEricBana · 21/10/2018 10:46

Oh and LTB while you're at it because it's bound to be his fault Grin

TheRollingCrone · 21/10/2018 10:46

What the fuck is wrong with you?

AdorableMisfit · 21/10/2018 10:46

Me too. I even found the spider in question crawling around the bottom of my IKEA bag washing basket when I'd taken the washing in and put it all away.

Sparklingbrook · 21/10/2018 10:47

I would be getting that in and washing it again. Bet it's not too fresh smelling any more either. Sad

catsofa · 21/10/2018 10:47

I'd wear them like that, they're fine. Spider spunk isn't real dirt.

LadyFlumpalot · 21/10/2018 10:48

Apparently it rained at some point last night because it's all wetter than it was when it came out of the machine. Bollocks.

It’ll dry & be fine...eventually.

Whatififall · 21/10/2018 10:50

My new neighbour regularly leaves their washing out to be darked on. I’ve considered reporting them to the Council. And Social Services as there are baby gro’s on the line overnight.

elQuintoConyo · 21/10/2018 10:51

Nah, that's hedgehog sneeze Grin

ShowOfHands · 21/10/2018 10:54

I leave my washing out overnight all the time. It dries and you just shake the spiders (and earwigs btw) off your clothes as you bring it in.

You all need to buck the fuck up. When the zombie apocalypse comes, you'll dream of bug jizz.

flatpack1 · 21/10/2018 10:55

[Clutches pearls and faints]

minniebow · 21/10/2018 10:56

My NDN leaves her washing on the line for weeks at a time so I wouldn’t worry about it if I were youGrin

LadyFlumpalot · 21/10/2018 10:57

MIL is on her way round. She is a Paragon Of Household Cleanliness and I am a Slattern.

Should I show her for the shits and giggles?

Don't forget to hand in your mumsnet scarf on the way out.

Show her... show her... then watch as her lips thin

Harrykanesrightsock · 21/10/2018 11:02

Hell, in the summer months I hang mine out before bed, it's usually dry before morning and i can hang another load out before work. I am not afraid of spider spunk. I am northern and hard as nails.

LadyFlumpalot · 21/10/2018 11:02

Dammit, forgot to put lighthearted!

I'm genuinely not that fussed. I live in the countryside so massive house spiders are a common occurrence, as are bats, foxes, hedgehogs, sparrow hawks and all sorts of wildlife type visitors.

I have a vague inkling that spider webs might come in handy in the event of a zombie apocalypse. What with them being stronger than steel etc. Maybe an early warning system?

MulticolourMophead · 21/10/2018 11:04

I've left my washing out overnight many times, and it's been perfectly fine. Doesn't need re-washing and smells fresh still.

And that web on the jeans, op? Well, I've had that happen in daytime. I really don't get why people are so pearl clutchy over it. I just keep an eye on the forecast, and if it's going to be wet I bring it in, if not leave it out.

Ditto!! Why are you lot all so afraid of spider willies?

DisplayPurposesOnly · 21/10/2018 11:24

I'm mostly worried you've hung the trousers The Wrong Way.

LadyFlumpalot · 21/10/2018 11:33

@DisplayPurposesOnly I've mixed it up, I have hung other trousers up by the legs. I promise.

DisplayPurposesOnly · 21/10/2018 11:40

PhilomenaDeathsHeadHawkMoth · 21/10/2018 11:42
