Much of Cornwall's coast
Kenya, Masai Mara. Safari and the people ....the place blew my mind. Went to Kibera in Nairobi too. Life altering.
Seychelles. Just staggering in their beauty.
Negril, Jamaica. Possibly heaven.
Venice. Yes, it was hot and a bit smelly and crowded but it was so beautiful.
The view from the top of Helvellyn. If you get it 1) you're lucky and 2) it's breathtaking.
West coast of Ireland. Cliffs of Moher, all down to Killarney. Loved loved loved it. Beautiful, people are bloody fantastic.

Lake Bled, just stunning
Rarely disappointed in Spanish cities. Loved Barcelona, Madrid, Cordoba, Seville, Segovia and most of the coastline and islands.

Off to Croatia next year for a road trip from Zagreb to Dubrovnik over 3 or 4 weeks. Looks fab, I have high hopesSmile

Cattenberg · 18/10/2018 15:28

Venice, but preferably not in the summer.

Bhutan -such a distinctive and beautiful country. It's expensive, so we only stayed for a few days, but I'd love to go back.

samanthalou · 18/10/2018 15:29

@FoodGloriousFud
Northumberland is where we are thinking of taking a mini-break to next December in a tower (Alnwick?).

I have never ventured there and have been told it's really nice by a few people.

Is there much to do there?

stressedbeyond123 · 18/10/2018 15:31

Lublin in Poland - absolutely amazing place. had the best time ever

scaredofthecity · 18/10/2018 15:36

Absolutely loved northern Thailand, the mountains are stunning, the people were friendly and the food was amazing.

Malawi was beautiful but very very poor when I went. Huge variety of terrain for such a small country. (Inland) beaches, the lake, mountains, safari. It really has it all! Plus lovely, friendly people. They don't call it the heart of Africa for no reason.

shaggedthruahedgebackwards · 18/10/2018 15:36

Canada - Rockies/Vancouver/Whistler
French Alps - Haute Savoie area
Scotland - Argyl/Bute/Arran/Mull - also love both Glasgow and Edinburgh

Iran - all of it!

GemmaB78 · 18/10/2018 16:44

@Samanthalou so much to do in Northumberland. It's one of my favourite counties in the UK. Alnwick itself is lovely. The coast is great - Craster and the walk to Dunstanburgh castle is beautiful. If you can get to Lindisfarne it's worth a visit. Hadrian's wall. Walking in the Cheviots. Hexham for a wander around. Kielder water and the forest.

You'll struggle to fit it all in!

Mama1980 · 18/10/2018 16:45

I loved Cannes too and didn’t expect to. So fun!

Florence was amazing

I love Vegas as well - so OTT and silly. But you have to sort of give in to it.

Maine was gorgeous and laid back

Amsterdam is my favourite place. It has all the things I love in 1 city and is so diverse.

I lived in Gibraltar for a couple of years and thought a lot of the scenery was beautiful.

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 18/10/2018 18:26

Dahn in the Rheinpfalz, lovely wine, sandstone towers to climb, very un touristy.
Northumberland. We like it so much, we're moving there.
