I think we’re looking for a naff old ladies name but nothing cutesie- no Daisy/Mable/Lola etc

We’ve just gotten a 2 year old black hairy scruff bag , poodle cross from a rescue centre-

This is what she looks like (except she has a slight bit of ginger on the ears)

I like Winifred and Freda- family hate it. DD1 likes Wanda but We cannot after

Looking for ideas that I can pass off as my own Wink

Can you help me name this gorgeous dog.

Nora.

Or Blodwyn- that was my great grandmother’s name.

We called her Blodders, but never to her face Grin.

Another vote for Rita. Or Greta.

Beryl is class! Jerry- thanks- a bit too cute- this girl is a tank- she’s massive and bashes into stuff in a very ungainly manner- cute does not work.

Beryl the Peril a la Beano?

I met a Border Collie at the dog park this morning named Sylvia. I love that.

I’m laughing that my mum’s and my nan’s names have both been in the running for this little beauty 😂 can’t wait to hear what you all agree on.

How about Petra or Margot?

If my dog had been a girl he would have been Doris, because Doris Dog is the best name. Or Mavis.

But he is Colin instead
