I think we’re looking for a naff old ladies name but nothing cutesie- no Daisy/Mable/Lola etc

We’ve just gotten a 2 year old black hairy scruff bag , poodle cross from a rescue centre-

This is what she looks like (except she has a slight bit of ginger on the ears)

I like Winifred and Freda- family hate it. DD1 likes Wanda but We cannot after

Looking for ideas that I can pass off as my own Wink

Can you help me name this gorgeous dog.

I agree with kids, Enid is not good.

LizzieBennettDarcy · 15/10/2018 17:15

I think you should call her scruff bag, like in your OP.

Kind of suits her. She's lovely lovely lovely.

Suebnm · 15/10/2018 17:15

Does she already have a name? Like did the rescue give her one or had she had one?

Hetty.

My mum's black Sprocker is Hetty. She was named by the people who sold her to my Mum. She was going to be kept by them - they also have Mum and Dad dogs - but my Mum saw her after my Aunt bought one of their pups and fell in love. They didn't like the name and thought they'd pick something else. But it stuck.

Yes she was a shadow

It’s so wrong- she doesn’t even turn around if you shout it.

I won’t tell you what word makes her turn around Grin
