I think we’re looking for a naff old ladies name but nothing cutesie- no Daisy/Mable/Lola etc

We’ve just gotten a 2 year old black hairy scruff bag , poodle cross from a rescue centre-

This is what she looks like (except she has a slight bit of ginger on the ears)

I like Winifred and Freda- family hate it. DD1 likes Wanda but We cannot after

Looking for ideas that I can pass off as my own Wink

Can you help me name this gorgeous dog.

First thought was Edie. She is lovely, btw.

Friends of mine have a Maureen. Mo for short.

Fouetsage · 16/10/2018 14:24

My next dog is going to be called Winnie because I find it an easy name to use; even though you don't really use the name for recall you'll still shout it and it needs to be a name that rolls off the tongue easily. I did want to call her Alice but realised it didn't shorten well.

averylongtimeago · 16/10/2018 14:25

I think she might be a Beryl.

I thought Doris at first, but as you have one in the family, how about going for a name that rhymes with whatever (expletive?!) she does answer to at the moment?
