But who the fuck keeps a rabbit in a shoebox Sad

Becca19962014 · 22/10/2018 17:05

If you stopped polishing your house she'd stop eating it! Wink

Awful day. Just want to go to bed and hide. Social worker away and replacement said "we'll see what happens" Sad

Becca19962014 · 22/10/2018 19:32

So social services can help me get funding to socialise with others. If your face is Hmm that'll be the same as mine. I've no idea how they expect me to be strong enough to socialise when I can't manage basic functions, they were also talking about when I get better.

Is there a different interrpretation of "deterioating illness" that means it gets better I don't know about??? If so nows the time to tell me!!!

My googling to try and make myself feel better spectacularly failed as well. So much for the "no that can't happen he must be wrong have a look online" theory..

Becca19962014 · 22/10/2018 19:36

Another scary day, I keep thinking every time my throat tightens slightly this could be it and panicking. Which then makes it constrict more!

ThrowThoseCurtainsWide · 22/10/2018 20:20

Oh darling I can't begin to imagine how scary that must be. It makes me so angry on your behalf that you don't have better care too. Are there EDS specialists anywhere? Does all of you care have to be in Wales? If you could get a specialist appointment in London I would happily drive you there and back if it would make a difference. Or anywhere really! I honestly truly mean that.

Not quite Kent coast that wouldn't really be a holiday! we're not far in to East Sussex though. Although frankly the beaches here are almost identical to the ones in the south Kent towns where I grew up, the town here is better though!!

We went to the beach today and found a pebble with a family's names on it. I had some sharpies in my bag so we made some too. The DCs wanted to keep theirs (I carried around rocks all day!) but I've left mine on the beach for someone else to discover. Turned my back on DS whilst I helped DD with spelling... he wrote 'Poo' on about 5 different rocks. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry!! He had a cut out and make bike ramp in his Lego magazine last week. He told me he was naming it and asked me how to spell the 'DH' sound. Proudly showed me his ramp that now has 'stunts an shit' written on it Hmm

Think I need to watch my language around him... Blush

ThrowThoseCurtainsWide · 22/10/2018 20:22

The 'sh' sound!!

Becca19962014 · 22/10/2018 21:42

The one in London stopped seeing me because the local doctors ignored his diagnosis and recommendations, even if I could get assessed for a referral, which would take years to South Wales which would take me days to get to due to pain, I'd the need them to agree I needed specialist help in London (more time) and they'd then have to make a case to the Welsh assembly (even more time) to fund it privately and then the people in London would have to accept. But the fact is their recommendation was ignored and dismissed.

I'm sorry for being such a misery on here lately you must all be really fed up of me.

It sounds like you're having a lovely holiday!

ThrowThoseCurtainsWide · 22/10/2018 22:21

It all makes me so angry. It's not fair that it's still a postcode lottery for healthcare. How long ago did you last see the London one? I was just wondering if you might be able to liaise directly with that clinic to get a telephone consultation and ask if they could write an updated letter to your GP. They have to do something. They can't just leave you choking unexpectedly throughout the day. Are you still on antibiotics?

In your situation I'd be very tempted to go to the nearest really big hospital next time things flare up. Present yourself in A&E and demand that something happens. Far easier said than done I know.

We are having the most amazing time. I'm still up and down, but things feel so much more chilled here. DCs were very tired today after a late night and then a very early morning. It was so nice just to come back to the lodge about 5 and do dinner and have a nice evening. They were practically asleep by the end of the story I read them

Becca19962014 · 22/10/2018 22:45

2007 was last time. Nearest 'big' hospital almost four hours away. I can't possibly get there. Local says I can drink so it's not a problem. I've got more antibiotics though the swab said no bacterial infection it was spreading again in my mouth so dr was worried.

Everyone's very "you're breathing, it's fine" about it.

I'm glad you're having a lovely holiday though!

Mummylin · 23/10/2018 18:06

Finally fit bedrooms sorted and tonight my ds will once again move back home until the sale of the one they are buying is completed. It's such a shame they are leaving their lovely house after all the work ds has done, but he is itching to do it all over again !
Hope everyone is ok, or as well as possible.

Hello owls Just flying in so you don’t leave my I’m on list.

I grew up in Kent too Curtains I don’t live there now but we have been to a lodge place on the Kent coast a few times with friends and your picture looked similar. Sounds like you had a lovey day at the beach.

Becca How are you doing today?

So your going to have a house full for a while then Lin ?

Mil has taken all 3 dc out today, to soft play she is a braver lady than me doing so in school holidays as it will be so busy. So I’ve come in to town to do some shopping and I am currently sitting in a restaurant waiting for my all day breakfast and glass of fizz, I am child free Grin

Becca19962014 · 24/10/2018 13:18

Struggling a lot tbh.

ThrowThoseCurtainsWide · 24/10/2018 17:35

Pink your mum is very brave indeed! Well done for getting those bedrooms done Lin, I know you've been putting that off Wink

Sending love to you Becca. And cake Cake

One of my scars isn't healing very well, not sore, hot or red, but my ankle ha swollen up around it which is worrying. We've just stayed at the lodge today, haven't been down to the town. We're all knackered

Becca19962014 · 24/10/2018 18:25

I hope you're enjoying it though even if you are tired. Sometimes that can just be from resting and you've certainly had a tough time of it.

ThrowThoseCurtainsWide · 24/10/2018 21:33

My parents came to join us yesterday Hmm Who invited themselves along to someone else's 3 day holiday??!! It was a really lovely day, but they're always exhausting. We are having a good time though. Been tidying this evening. Decided to stay tonight and head back straight after breakfast as DH has dogs to walk. I'm looking forward to my own bed. We are both too fat to share a standard double, and the mattress is sloping. We are spoiled at home with a king-size tempur mattress

willneverpassit · 24/10/2018 22:29

Hello just wondered if anyone is in the same position as me. I am 55!and still having regular periods. My gp seems unconcerned as they are regular. Has anyone else heard of this?
I suffer with health anxiety and depression so I cannot keep away from google 😞

ThrowThoseCurtainsWide · 24/10/2018 22:45

Hi willneverpassit you might find it more useful to start a new thread for advice on this as you'll get a bigger audience. Feel free to stay in here and chat though, we tend to dip in and out as we fall asleep / get caught up in other things.

I really don't know much (anything!) about menopause, but 55 doesn't sound that late. Dr google will not be your friend though. So long as they are regular then I would just take it as your body telling you it still feels young and just go with it.

GhoulishGremlins · 24/10/2018 22:49

I'm by no means an expert but I know several people who started menopause in their late fifties!

Maybe ask in Chat or Women's Health?

willneverpassit · 25/10/2018 00:58

Thank you ladies I really appreciate your replies. I am going to start a new thread in the morning x

PinkHeart5914 · 25/10/2018 14:25

Hello owls

Curtains Hope your safely home now and enjoyed your break away. I know what you mean about people joining you on holiday, one of my cousins done it to us once and while it was lovely to see them it was our holiday and I didnt want to see family if you see what I mean.

My and the dc are having an Indoors day, I got them some Halloween craft bits to do so they’ve been having fun with that. We did go for a walk to the village bakery this morning for pumpkin & ghost shape gingerbread as didn’t famcy baking today.

ThrowThoseCurtainsWide · 25/10/2018 20:01

Yup, home now. Totally knackered! The DCs were asleep before 7 which is unheard of!!

DH and I are watching this weeks bake off and then will be going to bed. Mmmm kingside bed again - missed that so much!

PinkHeart5914 · 26/10/2018 20:46

Evening owls

It’s just me and Pinkrabbit home tonight, DH is out on a stag night and all 3 dc are at mil for a sleepover. I have had a take away curry and I’ve got some wine, Mil gave it to me when she picked the dc up she thought I’d like the label as it’s got flamingos on.

Hope your all ok
