Becca Sorry to hear that some people are such arse holes! 🍰🍰

I’ve been watching Thelma and Louise with dh, I’ve never seen it before and it’s a great film. Got white hot chocolate too 😋 with marshmallows of course

ThrowThoseCurtainsWide · 30/10/2018 07:57

Oh Becca Sad

Terrible nights sleep here. DH and I have argued and I had vivid dreams all night. Do t feel at all rested.

Got an email to all parents yesterday afternoon saying that our headteacher won't be in this term due to a recent diagnosis. It doesn't say much more. Really worried about her - she's been a great support to me and I really hope she's okay. I've made her a card, going to crochet her a get well shawl. I ordered yarn this morning, got a cardigan to finish first and then I'll make a start

ThrowThoseCurtainsWide · 30/10/2018 23:29

I'm staying at a friends house tonight. Needed some space to think. Very nervous about tomorrow's meeting. Have to be up early to drive 45mins home and take the DCs to school

PinkHeart5914 · 31/10/2018 11:06

Morning owls

Me and the dc are off to a Halloween party at soft play. We have oldest ds as a skeleton, dd as a witch and baby owl as a pumpkin. Once the party is over will stop at the nearby farm and pick our pumpkins for carving 🎃🎃 Halloween Smile

Curtains How are you doing today? I had hoped winnning your appeal would be the start of your stress ending. There has been a couple of arguments for you and your dh lately, so some space last night was probably the best thing.

Becca Are you feeling any better?

Becca19962014 · 31/10/2018 14:58

No Sad

Say hello to pumpy the pumpkin, I know Halloween was yesterday but I can’t not put a candle in him tonight 🎃

Curtains Are you ok? And you too Becca?

not the best day. GP didn't go well, not their fault. Still ill they can't help need tests and sit on (very) long waiting lists Sad

Becca19962014 · 02/11/2018 01:40

Can't sleep Sad struggling massively today.

ThrowThoseCurtainsWide · 02/11/2018 08:18

Oh Pink Pumpy is super! Far better than the Halloween 'present' that I got yesterday. A parent donated some skeletons to the department. Nice, except they were actual human bones and pretty much in pieces. I thought I'd check the legislation and basically we were not allowed to have them in the school unless biology kept them. Then it got into a big 'how do we get rid of them'. Theoretically as we had custody of them we should have respectfully disposed of them, but nowhere local would take them. In the end I had to call the parent and ask them to come and collect it. Was a total debacle. And I couldn't get over the fact that there were the remains of at least 3 different, previously living people with lives and families and parents just sitting, in pieces, in a frigging cardboard wine box on my desk Sad

Becca19962014 · 02/11/2018 10:09

curtains what?! How can anyone even remotely think that's ok? I had to read it twice just to believe what I was reading. I'd be Sad too.

PinkHeart5914 · 02/11/2018 10:49

Oh blimey Curtains that’s horrible! Would of freaked me right out, I don’t like anything death related. It is of course very sad someone’s bones just being in an empty wine box.

Years ago I had a friend and I was making coffee at her place, coffee tub was empty so I went back in the cupboard, pick up what I thought was a new tub and she says “don’t use that, it’s Mum” Mums ashes were in a coffee tub. I couldn’t get my head around the fact she cremated mum to just leave her ashes in a coffee tub in the cupboard, was so weird. To me it felt disrespectful

Gues where I am off to today? Ikea Grin taking the dc and mil is coming along too. I’m going to fill my car with shiny tat and glasses hopefully, dh will roll his eyes tonightbut I don’t care

ThrowThoseCurtainsWide · 02/11/2018 11:31

Apparently she briefly spoke to the head of department at an open eve about them about a month ago. He said yeah that would be cool without really thinking it through. Thought nothing of it since and then they were delivered out of the blue yesterday. I went home early because I was really upset by it all. I know they donated their bodies to science and it was probably over 100 years ago, but their skeletons were no longer complete and there were at least 3 different people all jumbled together in the box. It just didn't feel right. I mean the skulls in particular were totally fascinating, but just not appropriate!

Pink you are going to have the best time! Make sure to get a scrubbing brush with a suction cup on the bottom, also their dustpan and brushes are good. The DCs will want ALL of the children's section. There are some really usefully little clip lid coloured plastic boxes in sets of 3 for pens, pencils, buttons, stuff! Christmas bits are cool this year too - have fun! Oooh and the lingonberry drink is the bomb Grin

Becca19962014 · 02/11/2018 15:12
SneakyGremlins · 02/11/2018 15:13

See surely there's a way to keep each set of remains together? And not in a box? I love all things skeleton but even I can see that's disrespectful! Shock

Although pink maybe the coffee jar was an in joke they had shared?

PinkHeart5914 · 02/11/2018 21:34

No the Mum was actually in the coffee tub, i didn’t like to ask why but it’s always baffled me.

Well I’ve now been to Ikea, £170 lighter and we were on our way home. I mean I need none of it but some of the storage stuff will make the play room look better and glasses I am a sucker for a glass especially ones with flamingos on! I got some sparkling lingonberry drink too, and snaps and sweets. What a wonderful place!

ThrowThoseCurtainsWide · 02/11/2018 22:41

I know the flamingo ones!! Grin so glad you had a good time. I miss living closer to one, it's a 45min drive for us these days.

I'm feeling sad tonight. It's been an emotionally exhausting week and I'm just done with it all now. Taken my sleeping tablets for the first time in a while as I know I'm going to find it hard to drop off tonight.

I wish I lived close to one too Curtains It was just over an hour each way due to traffic but I’ve never been to one and it was so worth it. With having lunch in the cafe it broke the day up nicely so dc didn’t get too bored. Hope you managed some rest last night.

Me, dh and the dc are off out for lunch soon then we are going to a craft fair, one of my friends has a stall so going to support her really.

ThrowThoseCurtainsWide · 03/11/2018 21:47

Oh lin what a tough time for you. Flowers I hope the anti bs clear the chest infection quickly for you.

I don't think I dreamt last night actually, which was amazing. I might try the sleepers again tonight, makes me tired in the mornings though. Stuff here is tricky, I'm wary of saying stuff because lots is being monitored. I had a meeting with a local service provider for people in my situation this week. Empowering but terrifying at the same time.
