No wonder they don't dare name a price!

Surely no one would ever buy this monstrosity.

I think if you take out all the furniture and redecorated in more neutral colours, new kitchen and bathrooms it would be fabulous.

Sometimes it is about seeing past someone else’s furnishings

batshite1 · 08/10/2018 09:31

OMG it’s amaxing. Not my style decor wise but love that they have fully embraced it. The building itself is beautiful.

batshite1 · 08/10/2018 09:31

amazing!

Clawdy · 08/10/2018 09:36

How are some people still able to see it?

groundcontroltomontydon · 08/10/2018 09:38

Wot no Billy bookcase?? Love it - there's a homeowner who doesn't own a beige cardy. Bit heavy handed with the crosses and not sure I could pee with Our Lady standing over me even if she is averting her eyes.

Livinglavidal0ca · 08/10/2018 09:42

I had a dream about this exact house the other day! The front of the house springs out at me, never seen it before in my life. My parents are from Sussex area I wonder if I walked past it when I was little or something, spooky.

SoupDragon · 08/10/2018 09:53

I don’t understand how people can see it. All I get is this

VenelopeVonSweetz · 08/10/2018 09:55

I love it!

Take all the owners furniture out and you could make it something really special.

MimsyBorogroves · 08/10/2018 09:57

Holy shit! Literally!

I'm torn between loving it and being horrified. The building itself is gorgeous.

ItsAHardKn0ckLife1 · 08/10/2018 09:58

Anyone notice the toilet was designed by a “Mr Crapper” ? Grin

LadyR77 · 08/10/2018 10:06

@SoupDragon - that's all I got too, but have found it on Zoopla! www.zoopla.co.uk/for-sale/details/49273840?search_identifier=1fd6d6ebb7e362756cca204679a3af8b

I think it could be made fantastic once all the hideous décor and furnishings have been stripped out.

Firstbornunicorn · 08/10/2018 10:08

@ItsAHardKn0ckLife1 just like all toilets... Sir Thomas Crapper invented the toilet.

BlossomCat · 08/10/2018 10:13

I enjoyed looking at that, Smile my Grandmother lived around the corner, and we'd walk past to go to the park when we visited as children.
If you look beyond the quite frankly bizarre overstuffed interior decoration, it's a beautiful historic house. I'd buy it, but could not afford it, probably!

dingdongdigeridoo · 08/10/2018 10:16

I never thought I’d find the perfect house, but here it is! I long to be a rich eccentric and have ridiculous house parties in that thing. I love that the master bedroom has its own sitting room. I would sit there in a silk dressing gown drinking neat scotch.

FoulMouthedMotherFigure · 08/10/2018 11:07

Thanks for linking to the Zoopla listing, LadyR77 - I thought I'd missed my chance to see this...er...truly unique property.

It reminds me, on a much grander scale, of my great-aunty's flat. She was more Catholic than the Pope, and there were statues of Our Lord and the Blessed Virgin Mary everywhere.

I think any gay vampire who's currently house-hunting will snap it up and move in right in time for Halloween. Grin

ItsAHardKn0ckLife1 · 08/10/2018 11:15

firstborn my husband told me that years ago actually and I wouldn’t believe him Blush Grin

SoupDragon · 08/10/2018 11:49

thank heavens for LadyR77!

It looks promising from the first photo...

SoupDragon · 08/10/2018 11:53

It is awesome!

Annoyingly I’ve driven past it in the last fortnight as my dad was in a hospice right nearby. I could have arranged a viewing.

SoupDragon · 08/10/2018 11:58

I love the chameleon sofa which is trying gamely to vanish into the wallpaper in the e after th a leopard print sofa.

newmumwithquestions · 08/10/2018 12:00

I LOVE it!
If I had the money I’d buy it.
Once the owners furniture went would could make it AMAZING.

poorbuthappy · 08/10/2018 12:01

I love this house!!!! Grin

NotACleverName · 08/10/2018 12:04

This bed is amazing and I want it.

No one will buy this house - will they?
WhoLivesWhoDiesWhoTellsUrStory · 08/10/2018 12:11

I’d never be able to sleep in that house. I’d be fucking terrified.
That said, I’m poor and I’d like to buy somewhere.
How much it is?

SpoonBlender · 08/10/2018 12:13

Holy shit. The sheer visual noise would give me a migraine after being in there for twenty minutes.

That said - gut the decor (and the designer, to stop them doing this to any other poor unsuspecting period properties) and it would be amazing.

nessun · 08/10/2018 12:15

I 10000% would, it's amazing Shock
