Just making a playlist for my 40th and although I have a pretty good selection already I need more songs for the end of the night. Lots of drunken people standing in a big circle dancing and singing together type songs Grin.

Abba's "Does your mother know" is a better dance track than Dancing Queen. But it's a bit "off" these days, like Police's "Don't stand so close to me" if you listen to the actual lyrics!

I used to sing in a function band and floor-fillers included:
Brown Eyed Girl - Van Morrison
Mustang Sally - Commitments version
Treat her right - Commitments version but not so fast
Living on a Prayer (bitch to sing though!) - Bon Jovi
Crazy little thing called love - Queen
Love shack (even though some people hate it) - B52s
Tainted Love - Soft Cell
Hot Stuff - Donna Summer
Summer of 69 - Bryan Adams
RESPECT - Aretha Franklin
Johnny B. Goode - Chuck Berry
Long train running - Doobie brothers
Nutbush City Limits - Tina Turner

Things that always get me up, but we didn't do in the band:
Wake me up before you go-go - Wham
Don't leave me this way - Communards
Footloose - Kenny Loggins
Tiger Feet - Mud
