Palm Oil - what has it ruined for you?

Quite apart from lovely Cadbury chocolate, and creme eggs, which I've not purchased for the last 3 years, what else has palm oil ruined for you?

It's even in the kids birds eye chicken dippers, so that's them off the shopping list too.

Disgusting tasting, rainforest ruining stuff.

@kikisparks Thank you!

Nutella

The Meridian stuff is palm oil free, but not half as nice. We make our own now, for special occasions.

Well, I bought Sunpat peanut butter today as it has peanut oil instead of palm, but it's in a plastic container, that was another reason I like Whole Earth, it's in glass and the jars are good for re-using (I make chutneys etc). It is tricky weighing up all the different environmental factors.

Just in case anyone is looking for a chocolate spread alternative, the Biona Dark Chocolate one is AMAZING. (But unfortunately contains soya 😩)

You can get sunpat in jars.

Although I have read that in some ways recylable plastic is better than glass as it weighs less so shipping it is fewer emissions so there are a lot of factors to consider!
