What to do in Blackpool?

Spending the weekend in Blackpool and have no plans for the Monday, so asked the 13 year old to take a look online and pick something. Unfortunately, she's so laid back and just says "dunno", so it looks like I'm going to have to pick.

We already have plans for the Pleasure Beach, tram ride, arcades, prom.

We have....
Tower -
Madame Tussauds - kids seem quite interested in this but neither are particularly clued up about famous/well known people so not sure how much they will 'get'?
Zoo -

Which would you do? Any further suggestions?

Lets face it though, the Cat and Mouse run was a bit of a death trap wasn't it.

I grew up in Blackpool. It's tacky and there are all sorts of people, but i've yet to see anyone naked or shagging. It's fucking cold in Blackpool, they'd have to be insane.

The best thing about Blackpool, though, is the friendliness and the willingness to accept the responsibility of hosting a diverse and transient population with grace.

I wish I'd written that. Totally sums up how I feel about my home town.

Okay we've arrived and kids are hungry. Where is the must have chippy?

Top of Red Bank Road, near the prom!

Have fun OP!

Opposite Sainsbury?

Oh no there's more. Is it the kitchen one?

Basically the one just before you get to the prom. Big yellow sign if I recall. That’s the kitchen one and a walk-in chippy next door.

ApocalypseNowt · 05/10/2018 18:51

Yes I think it has a yellow sign?

Fab thanks guys. Sorry for short rude-sounding messages, was walking and typing lol.

Headed along to see the lights and fireworks with the kids then back and stopped in Hart's to spend some 2pennies. Grabbed the teenager some chips on the way back to the hotel which seemed to go down well so thanks for the recommendation.

Heading up the tower in the morning. Eek.

Have fun up the Tower. It’s an amazing view.
