Bridesmaid gifts.Did you like them. Honest answers....

Need my bridesmaid gifts .Posted here because on the wedding forum its just other brides buying stuff blindly . I have a feeling we are all going to end up buying the same personalised compact mirrors.
So fat I have a personalised hanger and silky robe. Three bridesmaids in their early 20,s and a MOH in her 40's
If you were a bridesmaid , what did you get that you actually liked please.

I got a dressing gown for the morning getting ready and a branded ornament.

The dressing gown was nice. The ornament looked lovely but wasn’t really my thing.

Tbh I would’ve loved money towards the hotel we stayed at that night
Or maybe a voucher for a meal somewhere.
Or a naive bracelet if a keepsake is more something you’re edging towards. Joma probably do some bridesmaids ones.

I was given a little ornament with a bear on. It was super tacky. The bride knows I don't have ornaments and other similar bits.Confused
My sister and other bm's were given silver studs with their birthstone in. They were lovely and Probably not any more than £25. Hers was peridot and they were stunning.

I got a lovely necklace and three mini bottles of my favourite gin to pop in my handbag and take to the reception. It was ace.

Although I should add this was when I was 18 I probably wouldn’t appreciate the gin so much now as I don’t drink now 😂

A pair of earrings my friend knew I loved as we'd seen them in a shop a few weeks before. I wear them most days, especially if I'm doing something I'm worried about.

I was given a bracelet, we all got the same one and i really didnt like it :/ Im in same situation as you OP and need to get for my bridemaids. Think im gona buy bracelets.

I’ve been a BM 6 times, had gifts a few times. A pendant that’s not my style at all and never worn since. A little bag that was pretty but I haven’t ever used. Can’t remember the others.

It’s very hard to get a few of the same thing that each person will like. What you’ve already got sounds lovely.

We got goodie bags. We got each got a framed photo of all us hens with the bride. A mini bottle of prosecco, chocolates and a silver bangle that I still wear now. The bag was a cotton bag with a picture of our favourite crushes face. She had given us little questionnaires which she asked us who it was. I jokingly said Jeremy Clarkson. That's who's face was printed on mine. Grin
She also included a handwritten thank you card in which she told us her favourite moment with us and what we meant to her. It was so sweet and something I'll treasure always. The groom's dad gave all the bridesmaids and the ushers Just eat vouchers which was thoughtful.

Would you not worry that they, like you, would not like them?

(I have nothing valuable to add, only that when I was a bridesmaid I didn't get a thing! Shock cold hard cash would have been appreciated Grin)

I like the goodie bag idea specially the famous crush and framed photo/handwritten card.

Ooh and the birthstone earrings.

I went to a wedding where all the bridesmaids were given cards with cash in. The little 6 year old girl was over the moon and ran around showing the notes to everyone.Grin In that moment she was richer than me.

I made mine a 'bridesmaids kit'

A mini of their alcohol, a snack, paracetamol, lip balm, blister plasters, Kirby grips, a wine glass charm with their name on. Nothing major expensive but just a nice thing to open together the evening before. I also bought them the dresses, a pashmina and a hand bag each. They chose and bought their own shoes so they could wear them again.

My brother gave me a steampunk bracelet! Very funky, I love it. I'd never have picked it but it's ace.

I got my MoH to pick her own necklace, earrings and dress, and I paid. We went shopping together.

I was given a key ring with my name on. The other bridesmaids got necklaces but the bride had noticed I don't wear jewellery (sensory issues) Even though we've never explicitly discussed it. It meant a lot that she noticed that and adjusted for it. I love it.

When I was bridesmaid we all were given little silver necklaces which I loved and still have. I also bought my bridesmaids a necklace too.

I bought really bad bridesmaid presents (bracelets - couldn't afford particularly nice ones so they were a bit ropey). I wish I had done something else, although not sure what.

Last time I was bridesmaid, I was bought a necklace (not something I’d have picked but very pretty and I’ve worn it a few times), a fancy bottle of vodka, lots of nice chocolates and some theatre tickets.

The time before that, some perfume,
vouchers for Ted Baker, a TB purse and again, lots of chocolate!

Maybe I’m a greedy cow and was moaning about the diet and exercise regime required to get dress ready Grin
