Embarrassing question.... but how do I unlock mitchum’s spray deodorant

Tried twisting?! What am I doing wrong

Have you tried holding the band bit still and just twisting the top? If it's all spinning together it might not unlock, IYSWIM?

This was me yesterday! Still haven't worked it out. Luckily still have some left in the old can

Twist the top section that has the spray hole.

I bought some of that. If you look very, very carefully there are instructions in the plastic top, in the same plastic so extremely difficult to see. Despite all that I couldn't actually do it and had to rope in DP (who is more patient than me about things like that).

Then I discovered that I couldn't use it anyway because the bit that you push to spray it is also ridiculously stiff, and I could manage it with my right hand to do my left pit (I'm right handed) but my left hand wasn't strong enough to do the right.

It went into the bin.

I never managed to open mine, it ended up in the bin.

Whistle73 I hate to say it but they've recently repackaged. I used to use it with no problem at all, but when I rebought it had all changed.

Twist the top to the right.

Hold the collar and twist the top, it should click a couple of times and the spray bit is there- if it doesn't twist it the other way same

Hold the ribbed collar and twist the top... they're tricky buggers though!

I eventually worked out how to make it spray, but even then it kept sticking. And when it did spray, the scent was unbearable!

It's a pita. I bet it's unlocked and like mine impossible to depress the lid and it's driving me mad

I had this. Twisted it and nothing happened. Try twisting it the way the arrow goes on the top and then twisting it back. I got mine to work eventually.

You're not alone I had a fight with one of these little buggars the other week. Ended up taking it back to Boots and swapping for a different brand. Shop assistant was all and said she hadn't seen any others returned. Glad I saw this thread 👍

Stick to the roll on cream. So much easier.

I stopped buying them for this very reason. After throwing several away. So annoying! Now I use a different brand instead.

It will be broken - sometimes they stop being able to be unlocked and no am9unt of twisting will open. Ditch it.

Just tried again. It's fucked. So annoying! I can feel an email to Mitchum coming on.

I took mine back to Tesco the other week and swapped for one which was slightly better but not much and I can't be bothered to take that one back as well.

I also had this problem and couldn’t ever get it to spray properly under my right armpit because I couldn’t operate it with my left hand. It’s ridiculously hard.

Had the same issue as many PPs. My favourite deodorant but so many times I’ve had a can where I can’t operate it my weaker hand. Sometimes the cans just stop working completely and considering how pricey this deo is ... it’s bloody annoying to throw one out half full!

I had to bin mine too! Managed to unlock it but was impossible to push button down with one hand. When DH was around he could do it for me but he’s often out before I’m ready in the morning so just got rid! Very shoddy packaging

Buy a roll on.

Seriously how did they miss that. Not much use if 70% of your customers can't even open the damn thing. Complete fail on their part.

I have found my people! Since they repackaged it’s horrible, I’ve had a few that when I’ve finally opened its squirts out like a limp burst and it’s so annoying
