Does anyone else hate this song?

Or if not what song do you hate for no reason

It goes :

"I've been so many places in my life and time"

And I think it's called A Song For You

It's really popular it seems on talent show auditions and I can't for the life of me think why, I think it's proper rubbish.

I also hate And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going for the same reason

A mystifyingly popular song

Anyone else?

Walking on Sunshine -Katrina and the Waves
99 Red Balloons -Nena

Cannot abide Angry

NewDayBlankPage · 29/09/2018 22:48

There are some here that I totally agree with.
Hate hate the seven years old one. It’s shit. Lyrics, tune everything.
Wasn’t expecting that. Repeats a boring tune over and over. Horrible lyrics, especially at the end. “The nurses they came, said it’s come back again. I wasn’t expecting that.” How bloody depressing. Also every time I hear it I think, it wouldn’t be the nurses that told you that would it? Surely it’s be a doctor?
Another one someone else mentioned, dancing in the moonlight. What a dull tune and the guys voice is just so soulless and monotone. How is this song so popular??
Sorry I know I stole everyone else’s ideas but these are genuinely the songs I get the rage about!!!

TheWholeHog · 29/09/2018 22:53

And I am telling you... is a Classic.

Agree with Imagine, though. Any Beatles song, in fact.

FlaptheWings · 29/09/2018 22:54

Witchita Lineman - big pile of boring shite.

tigercub50 · 29/09/2018 22:56

I love Fairytale of New York! And Video Killed The Radio Star!
Can’t think of many songs I hate. Can’t bear listening to Heart as they have the same sodding playlist for what seems like decades! So then I grow to hate songs I quite liked before!

PawneeParksDept · 29/09/2018 22:57

Have got to agree with @PuppyMonkey and @AnyFucker I hate both of those and forgot to put them down.

I actually find the lyrics of Imagine completely depressing and not uplifting in the least

tigercub50 · 29/09/2018 22:57

I love Take That!

PawneeParksDept · 29/09/2018 22:58

Lol @FlaptheWings that's playing right now on the TV series I'm watching!

theredjellybean · 29/09/2018 22:59

I was going to say every thing mentioned so far... But witchman line man.... Nooooo..love it.
Hate that bloody not expecting that song and everything by Ed most boring saccharine pop singer ever sheeran.

theredjellybean · 29/09/2018 23:00

Someone mentioned golden brown by the stranglers... Used to think it was about a girl... But now know it was about drugs... Makes it more bearable somehow

MrsDeanWinchester75 · 29/09/2018 23:02

All The Single Ladies, dreadful song.

McFugget · 29/09/2018 23:06

Chumbawumba I get knocked down then I get up again, whiskey drink, lager drink etc. etc. Layers upon layers of fucking miserable awfulness.

Toploader song a close second though.

CakeNinja · 29/09/2018 23:06

Groove is in the heart by someone shit.
Sing it back by Moloko.
The minute I hear either of those my evening is ruined. Despise them both and they really set my teeth on edge for one reason and one very good reason.
They’re fucking shitty droney repetitive nonsense. Neither of them ‘go’ anywhere and the entire 3 minutes of hell sound like a record got stuck on a loop. Dreadful.

Believeitornot · 29/09/2018 23:14

Shania Twain don’t impress me much. That gave me rage popping into my head due to this thread 🤣🤣

AlrightBabby · 29/09/2018 23:16

@PuppyMonkey I thought I was the only one to hats Imagine, tedious dirge that it is! Pleased to meet ya Wine

Babybearsporij · 29/09/2018 23:20

You Get What You Give is pretty rubbish as well.

PawneeParksDept · 29/09/2018 23:24

And one from The Ministry Of Terrible Advice

"If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with"

OP posts:
chipsandgin · 29/09/2018 23:25

I don't like the one from last summer where he starts with 'It's 100 degrees, I've got the shits on the floor', and on a similar theme Jennifer Lopez sings about how it's getting 'sick on the floor'.

Both just remind me of the days before the kids were old enough to make it to the toilet when they had D&V and all that 3am scrubbing and disinfecting malarky when you've barely slept.

The 'I wasn't expecting that' song is pretty fucking annoying though, totally agree with pp. That bloke must be surprised on a daily basis what with his total lack of foresight about every part of his life.

dontcallmelen · 29/09/2018 23:28

Lisa Stansfield, all around the world just fuck off.
Yy that stupid when I was seven years old dirge, most Beatles numbers

IthinkIsawahairbrushbackthere · 29/09/2018 23:29

Ed Sheeran "Driving at 90 down those country lanes" - I wouldn't like to see anyone driving at 90 on the country lanes near us.

Also Ed Sheeran "Dancing in the dark with you between my arms" - I have never held anyone "between my arms" nor indeed been held "between" anyone else's.

Ollivander84 · 29/09/2018 23:30

Pretty much every song mentioned on here. I have a low tolerance Grin

Rollonweekend · 29/09/2018 23:30

*“Once I was seven years ooold” such a stupid song. Is the guy really that surprised by the concept of ageing?

There’s an awful cheesy one where the guy is singing something like “I never expected that”. It’s always on the radio and it’s fucking depressing and cheese at the same time.*

OMG this made me laugh because I always through they were the same song and i hated it (them both !!!)

Mrskeats · 29/09/2018 23:31

No woman no cry
Hate it. Get a grip man.
