Aldi, Lidl & Divine

& Green & Blacks, possibly - I sent some of the dark kind to DD1 in the US & she said it was lovely (& no palm oil)

ArtemisWeatherwax · 28/09/2018 17:36

Lidl Finncarre is gorgeous

Chesterfieldsofa · 28/09/2018 17:37

Rich chocolate from lidl

TeddyIsaHe · 28/09/2018 17:37

The Waitrose milk chocolate with pistachios, hazelnuts and almonds. My word it is fabulous

GiantKitten · 28/09/2018 17:40

& maybe ASDA extra special - again I haven’t tried it but DD1 enjoyed their dark choc too.

Ingredients look ok & it’s only £1.50

Sugar, Milk Powder, Cocoa Mass, Cocoa Butter, Emulsifier (Soya Lecithins), Vanilla Extract, Milk Chocolate contains: Cocoa Solids 39% minimum and Milk Solids 24% minimum

Neuhaus or Leonidas.

JuneFromBethesda · 28/09/2018 18:05

There was an excellent long thread about this a while ago. Personally I love Ritter Sport Alpine Milk. Green & Black’s Milk with Sea Salt is also dangerously addictive.

PetraDelphiki · 28/09/2018 18:06

Try belcolade chocolate (Amazon do it)...kilo bags of giant buttons allegedly for cooking with....

anniehm · 28/09/2018 18:11

Aldi, though I prefer dark chocolate tbh

MinaPaws · 28/09/2018 18:12

Lindt

WellTidy · 28/09/2018 18:15

Green and Black milk chocolate.
Maltesers.
Matchsticks.

kenandbarbie · 28/09/2018 18:17

Lindt

BlueJava · 28/09/2018 18:20

Hotel Chocolat (if feeling very decadent) or Green & Blacks pale blue packet.

MiddlingMum · 28/09/2018 18:21

There is no nice milk chocolate, especially if it's just palm oil and sugar. I've been boycotting Cadbury's for a few years now anyway.

Dark chocolate made by smaller companies is usually lovely though. I like the bars made by Kernow Chocolate. It's made in Cornwall but is available elsewhere. They make milk chocolate if you prefer it to dark.

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 28/09/2018 18:21

I still love Cadburys the best, though I like Aldi Choceur, Lindt, Milka and Green and Blacks. Thorntons chocolate has gone so poor.

mateysmum · 28/09/2018 18:36

Another vote for Lidl. So cheap and delicious

Sparrowlegs248 · 28/09/2018 19:27

I do prefer dark chocolate, and have a square or two of decent dark chocolate in the evenings. But occasionally I fancy a bar of chocolate, I used to love dairy milk whole nut, or a plain galaxy every now and then. Can't stand either now. Thanks for the suggestions, it hadnt occurred to me to get Lindt milk!

I got some Waitrose Belgian milk chocolate yesterday and it was lovely. If I’m feeling spendy, Hotel Chocolat’s caramel milk chocolate bars are heavenly.

Alex3101 · 28/09/2018 19:58

Milka it's always been my favourite.

Avebury · 28/09/2018 20:20

Ikea chocolate is my current favourite. I still mourn 'old' Cadbury's though.

Ollivander84 · 29/09/2018 00:25

I had seed and bean Cornish sea salt and lime the other day
“That’ll be vile” I thought
One square later and I’m googling the company to see where to buy this magic shit from Grin
