Mine is Griefcast, with Cariad Lloyd. And it arrives on Wednesdays.

I listen to Fortunately while cleaning on Fridays. I love it and found it really refreshing originally,v but I think it is teetering on the brink of becoming slightly self-indulgent now.

CalonGlas · 26/09/2018 09:14

You Must Remember This on Tuesdays.

I’m crossing everything that there’ll be more Joan & Jericha this autumn.

GloGirl · 26/09/2018 09:24

I do really like Political Thinking With Nick Robinson. He does an in depth interview with someone in the political field every week. E.g. Armando Iannucci, Tony Blair, Jacob Rees Mogg.

Touches on topical issues but often covers background, political ideologies etc. A nice insight.

wizzywig · 26/09/2018 09:25

How do i get these on my Echo? Or do i have to go to Tunein or a podcast app?

Peaseblossom22 · 26/09/2018 09:26

Another vote for Fortunately on Fridays , I listen to others but this is the one I am always waiting for

flukeshot · 26/09/2018 10:27

Guilty Feminist on mondays, beautiful anonymous tuesdays, ABC Conversations daily, No Filter on mondays, This American Life, Stuff Mom Never Told You, Ladies We Need to Talk, Malcolm Gladwell's Revisionist History

RainbowsArePretty · 26/09/2018 13:17

I've just recently discovered podcasts! I've been working my way through The Guilty Feminist. There are over 100 so picking ones I like the sound of, so unsure of the release day.

Are all podcasts free? If not how do you know the price? I listen on my Appli iPad if that matters

dingdongdigeridoo · 26/09/2018 13:59

I don’t know which days they come out, but can recommend:

Guilty Feminist - really down to earth, fun podcast that teaches you a lot about feminism.
Last Podcast on the Left - a podcast about general spooky/true crime subjects. They often go in depth over several episodes so you learn a lot about the subjects, but the hosts are really funny and find humour in even the darkest topics.
WTF with Marc Maron - interviews with famous people. He’s a really interesting host and often talks about his own depression and struggles, while also getting a lot out of his interviewees.
That Awful Sound - recommend if you were a teenager in the late 90s/early 00s. They basically make fun of the terrible music around that time.

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 28/09/2018 09:47

Can I ask what platform / app you are using to access these podcasts?
My knowledge of downloading podcasts starts and ends with Radio 4

timshortfforthalia · 28/09/2018 09:53

News quiz - Fridays but not on year round
Running Commentary - also Fridays
Daily Show Ears Edition - week days
99% Invisible - don't know when it comes out

timshortfforthalia · 28/09/2018 09:55

@BreakfastAtSquiffanys i use acast app on my phone (android. ) If on ipad i just usr podcasts app.

GloGirl · 28/09/2018 10:17

I use Any Pod on Alexa although I think she's a bit shit.

Instead I use my Echo as a bluetooth speaker and work the podcasts from my phone

And Pocket Casts app on my Android mobile.

dingdongdigeridoo · 28/09/2018 10:30

RSSRadio is a good app for your phone. Much easier to use than the default podcast app on iPhones.
