Vulva lump please help

Sorry TMI

Can someone advise? I had a pea sized tender lump beside my clitoris all day today, not a Bartholin cyst. It’s now tripled in size and I’m close to tears. It’s throbbing. I’ve taken ibuprofen and I’m gonna put a hot compress on

Can anything else help? It must be a sebaceous cyst maybe infected. I’ve never felt pain like this I can’t walk or sleep

I've taken Ibuprofen and strong co-codamol. Never felt anything like it in my life

Not sure why you haven't gone to a&e? Any reason? You definitely need urgent medical attention.

Go to the doctor or a&e, especially as it's growing and painful. Doesn't sound right at all

I get these all the time, they’re horrible OP. Try a maybe sitting in a bath and a warm compress but if you’re in that much pain you may need to go to hospital to let them lance it.

A and E now. You shouldn't be in so much pain.

I'm in NI and I can't drive with the pain. DP is at his house with his kids

Nearest hospital is half an hour away

Hot compress isn't doing anything will cold work?

Can your mum take you ? Or call a taxi. If you have the cash. If not can you borrow from mum ?

Does it look like it may have a yellow/white head? If so it needs to drain which will relieve the pain. Try sitting in the bath. You have to be a little patient with that and the compresses.

However I would also call 111 for some advice and consider going to hospital.

I had a very painful bartholin's cyst in the same area you describe. I suggest running a bath as hot as you can take it, and add some salt. I did that and mine ruptured soon after. It hurt but the pressure relief was amazing.

It doesn't have a head it's gone from being a slightly tender pea sized lump to actually being a perfect, shiny?? Malteaser size and shaped lump. I can even feel it through my jammy bottoms. Fuck sorry for the tmi but it's actually parting my "lips"

I think the 30/500 cocodamol is taking the edge off the pain

I'm gonna ring doctor on call. If he/she advises a and e then I will go

Mum's coming to get me. I'm feeling very hot and bothered the doctor said I'd be better heading off to hospital but I'd be in for a long wait

Iv had similar lumps but theyve taken a couple of days to get bigger yours is growing pretty fast.
I think mine may of been a ingrown hair or something in the end i bit down on a pillow and squeezed it really hard until it burst g the relief was amazing but it really did hurt. It was healed over and didnt come back by the nex day.

An absolute waste of time

They made me feel like I was a waste of space and taking up valuable resources

It's now even bigger and sorer

They cleaned it and gave me gauze things

I get these if I’m really run down, warm baths with Epsom salts as often as you can and strong painkillers. If it’s coming up that quickly it won’t take long to burst. Whatever you do do not squeeze it though, I did this once and it popped internally and I had 9 of the buggers pop up in the vicinity within days..

I feel for you as they are excruciatingly painful in that area.

You know that pain where your bones shiver and it breaks you out in a wee sweat?

My mum used to call the shakes like that rigors. I would be calling the doctor back.

OP that sounds so painful. I second ringing the doctor again as you have the shakes and shivers

They bloody hurt. Magnesium salts in a hot bath might help.

They are complete shits for dismissing you like that. Can you imagine a man going to A&E almost in tears with pain from a huge cyst on his penis and being send home as it was nothing? They could've lanced it or something surely or at least been kinder.
