I can’t get up. I’ve slept the day away. I have no idea what to do.

Your new medication could take a little while to kick in, that may explain why you are feeling so low op. Be good to yourself until you start to feel better, treat yourself like you would treat someone else in your position. I think we are often way less kind to ourselves than we are to others. We all deserve kindness x food (fuel) and a shower maybe?

MrsMozart · 20/09/2018 17:23

As Lisa says, new meds can take time to settle.

You've done really well today. Up and ate. Asked for help. Got some fresh air. Be proud of that. Little steps but we all have stages of little steps.

overwornout · 20/09/2018 17:25

Sorry OP you are not alone. I get alot of crappy days but I just keep on going because I don't have a choice. If I could I'd just sit indoors and probably sleep all day. Try put a film on or go to YouTube and watch those funny video clips or anything to keep your mind occupied witj something positive. Also keep some water/fruit juice beside you. If you have someone you trust, give them a call. Otherwise, Samaritans are really helpful. It helps me plenty of times.

You are not aloneFlowers Brew

We are here OP to chat, you have taken the first step reaching out on here ! As previous posters have said, baby steps, try and drink water and get yourself something more to eat. Xxx

Undercoverbanana · 20/09/2018 17:35

I’m going to have cheese on crackers and an apple. I have no idea who I am or what I’m doing.

Well you are doing better then I am at your breakfast. You had scrambled egg. I had chocolate. I think I'll copy you tomorrow and have the healthy option Smile

Undercoverbanana · 20/09/2018 17:45

I try to eat well. I have very good physical health and am grateful for it. Everything else is a bit of a mess.

ShowerGel9 · 20/09/2018 17:47

How come you have good physical health? What do you do? Tips please...

PlinkPlink · 20/09/2018 17:51

Sometimes even those people who look the most together are a mess on the inside.

I remember it felt like a tangled ball of all in my head. Such a mess and no way of finding the end of the wool to untangle it.

I had to go see Occ. Health and I thought "Well, I can't really go and tell them idont know what's wrong" 😂

So I started writing everything down... took a fair few pages of A4 but I just started writing how I felt and what was floating in my head all the time.

Do you think you'd want to do that? See if you can start unravelling your brain maybe?

yawning801 · 20/09/2018 17:53

Can I have some tips on having good physical health too...?

Tell us five positive things about yourself, and start building on them. You'll be surprised at what you haven't realised is good about yourself. We're all here.

Undercoverbanana · 20/09/2018 17:56

Showergel9 - I run, cycle, walk, swim, do classes at the gym. I’ve always liked exercise.

@Undercoverbanana You're doing really well... I do think I'd like some of your tips for keeping good physical health of you fancy sharing?

Undercoverbanana · 20/09/2018 18:07

Enjoying exercise has always come naturally to me. I always feel better for it. I suppose I’m also lucky with my health as I have no unmanageable complications.

5 good things.

My DCs are amazing.
I have incredible, interesting friends.
I am a good friend, loyal and supportive.
I have great legs.
I have successfully completed some great physical challenges.

Pashazade · 20/09/2018 18:16

I'm always envious of people who enjoy exercise 🙂. I enjoy dancing but can't be doing with stuff that is just exercise. You said you are an amazing friend I'm sure friends in real life would listen. It's terribly easy to think you're alone when you're not. You're doing really well. So next maybe some tv or is there a good book waiting on the shelf for you?

Lisaloolops · 20/09/2018 18:16

Well I'm impressed! Fancy showing us your legs?! If you enjoy exercise have you thought about trying yoga? It's really good for mental health, (and physical) surprised me quite how good and I've only done it at home with Adrienne on YouTube and I'm hooked x

TheMarbleFaun · 20/09/2018 18:31

What about going for a wee run OP?
You'll definitely feel better if you do

ShowerGel9 · 20/09/2018 18:48

You have rest legs?

Then why an earth are you struggling to get out of bed? Haha

Enigmam · 20/09/2018 19:40

@Undercoverbanana How are you feeling?

Lisaloolops · 20/09/2018 21:59

I've been wondering that too, how you doing op?

LEMtheoriginal · 20/09/2018 22:05

You remind me of my dd. Can i give you a virtual hug and tell you that you ate loved. More than you know

Undercoverbanana · 21/09/2018 07:04

I’m ok. I’ve been asleep a lot.

OP posts:
Lisaloolops · 21/09/2018 20:04

Do you have someone supporting you op? Family, friends, partner? Sleep is good, I tend to sleep a lot when I'm struggling too x
