I can’t get up. I’ve slept the day away. I have no idea what to do.

I've been like this before. I just wanted to hide under my duvet for weeks at a time. It's okay. Hide under your duvet. Sleep. Wait until you feel a bit more motivated.

When you get that motivation, ring your GP. Get an appointment and get some anti depressants.

Next get working on your health. I have attached a link that is relevant for my area but perhaps there's something similar for your area wherever you are?

It really helped me when I had a breakdown.

GloGirl · 20/09/2018 16:05

Can you message someone and ask them to make an urgent doctors appointment for you?

I promise you'll feel better once you've been seen x

Undercoverbanana · 20/09/2018 16:07

I’ve got a glass of water.

You have already made a positive step today by posting here lovely.

Like many others, I have been where you are and it's shit. BUT it will pass.

What will happen if you do spend day in bed? Is there anything you need to be doing instead? If not then stay tucked up for time being xx

PingusPaws · 20/09/2018 16:13

@Undercoverbanana
You are NOT ALONE. The feeling of nothingness has happened to all of us at some point. You are going through a difficult time at the moment, but there was a time when you felt OK with yourself.
And you can get back there. Can Your GP can be the first step

ShowerGel9 · 20/09/2018 16:14

What is your favourate song OP? Sing that in your head. It will lift you a little. Then sing your second best song in your head

ShowerGel9 · 20/09/2018 16:14

We could all sing it with you if you like Wink

Butteredparsn1ps · 20/09/2018 16:16

Echoing other posters encouraging you to connect with the Samaritans. You are worth it.

As a PP said, it's OK to not be OK and it's OK espend some time under the duvet. Sometimes it what you need to do x

Dorkdiary · 20/09/2018 16:18

Could you face making something to eat if you haven't eaten all day, even if it's a bit of toast?

Undercoverbanana · 20/09/2018 16:21

I’m in the kitchen and I’ve got a glass of water.

OP posts:
MrsMozart · 20/09/2018 16:23

Good. That's two actions.

When did you last eat?

Undercoverbanana · 20/09/2018 16:34

I had scrambled egg on toast this morning but went straight back to bed.

OP posts:
TheMarbleFaun · 20/09/2018 16:38

Cup of coffee maybe and a piece of toast?
Also stick the radio on for a bit of company
We're all with you OP

Enigmam · 20/09/2018 16:39

Can you open the window or back door & get some fresh air?

Undercoverbanana · 20/09/2018 16:49

I’ve opened the back door.

OP posts:
ShowerGel9 · 20/09/2018 16:59

Is it raining hard where you are? It's pissing it down here.

Undercoverbanana · 20/09/2018 17:01

It’s windy. No rain

OP posts:
Undercoverbanana · 20/09/2018 17:03

The wind is a bit unsettling.

ShowerGel9 · 20/09/2018 17:04

Is it not cosy that it's outdoors tho and your indoors? I like it. My rabbits are outside in it tho so might have to mess a out bringing them inGrin

Lisaloolops · 20/09/2018 17:05

You could probably do with something to eat, that will make you feel stronger x

Crunchymum · 20/09/2018 17:10

You've made a really good start OP.

Getting up, having some fluid and letting some fresh air in.

You mention you already take medication, could it be that you need a dosage review? Or even a change of medication.

You aren't alone Flowers

MamaBearThius · 20/09/2018 17:11

You are awesome for getting up out of bed...go you!!
Have you got some nice nail varnish or a face mask to put on? Give yourself a girly boost Flowers

PingusPaws · 20/09/2018 17:12

Why is the wind unsettling

Undercoverbanana · 20/09/2018 17:14

I’m having a bit of a crisis I think. My medication has recently been changed as a result of an anxiety attack. I am trying to make some changes in my life but my confidence and self-esteem are very low.
