Taking a break from work...how cool is 'Kashuo Ishiguro' especially with 'Sir' Prefix Grin

Always thought 'Isambard Kingdom Brunel' was quite something. Almost as if there will be no room big enough to fit his entire persona. Why hasn't this name ever appeared in the baby names section, they're always looking for something unique Wink

What other names do you know that just make you sit back and think WOW! (in a good way not in a 'Chardonaye' kind of way ifyswim).

I've always loved another BBC presenter's name, Petroc Trelawny. Just because it is the most Cornish name ever, 100% full-on Cornwall. It turns out Petroc is actually his middle name, but never mind. He's clearly turned up the Cornish dial.

I know a teenager called Isambard. Both his parents are architects. He seems ok with it.

Wish I could remember the surname seen recently on credits, and following first and middle names of Max Hug.

Gina Lollobrigida... I once shared a student house with her nephew. I was so in awe of that fabulous name. Still love it now.
I once worked with Pretty Falcon (her real name)
I always liked the name "Justin de Villeneuve" (Twiggy's hubby)

Another BBC special: Marmaduke Hussey

happypotamus · 20/09/2018 14:45

I glanced up at the credits at the end of the Peter Rabbit movie to see the name Lance Kerfuffle. I want to marry him just so that can be my surname!

Cantthinkofabloodyname · 20/09/2018 15:00

I know a man called Barrington Powell. That has always seemed like a great name.

My daughter was at school with Botticelli O'Hare Evans. Also, friends of mine gave their son the middle name Danger, so that he could say "Danger is my middle name". Which he does.

anonymousbird · 20/09/2018 15:13

Tenniel Evans.

nonamehere · 20/09/2018 15:15

I just love the Trilby bit.

I used to be at school with a girl called Poppy Raven, which at 16 I thought was the most beautiful name ever. She was also strikingly pretty with it!

tobee · 20/09/2018 15:30

On the other hand my primary school teacher had a classmate called Norman Norman.

Stabbitha · 20/09/2018 15:34

I worked with a Sandra Herbert once. Company email was first initial surname at company name dot com. Pretty standard.

I loved that her email was [email protected]

😀

I’m surprised no one has mentioned Kofi Annan yet. One of my favourite names ever.

There are some crackers on this thread though, I’m in need of a baby name so I’ll be scrolling back through!
