Light-hearted: Don't you just LOVE some names?

Taking a break from work...how cool is 'Kashuo Ishiguro' especially with 'Sir' Prefix Grin

Always thought 'Isambard Kingdom Brunel' was quite something. Almost as if there will be no room big enough to fit his entire persona. Why hasn't this name ever appeared in the baby names section, they're always looking for something unique Wink

What other names do you know that just make you sit back and think WOW! (in a good way not in a 'Chardonaye' kind of way ifyswim).

ExWife I love names that sound musical or fit with music. I saw the name Hattie McKenzie recently and I kept singing it to the tune of Eleanor Rigby.

spiderlight · 20/09/2018 19:14

MonsterChopz · 20/09/2018 19:35

Went to uni with the exotically named
DC De Souza.

Never known by full name which I recall was Diana Catherine IIRCC Always DC.

Itishwhatitis · 20/09/2018 19:56

Barunka O'Shaughnessy and Sylvestra Le Touzel the actors. I also met an awesome old woman called Hero Elder and went to school with Tracy Heron which is pretty but not remarkable until I found out her first name was actually Dulcibella.

AJPTaylor · 20/09/2018 20:05

As a child i loved the name Christina Rossetti

GhettoFabulous · 20/09/2018 20:11

I once knew a Dougie Glen. From Scotland. I don't think I could think of a more scottish sounding name if I tried.

I recently heard of a Malcolm McSporran, who is clearly the most Scottish man in Scotland.

goose1964 · 20/09/2018 20:28

Surprised that no-one has mentioned the handsome Canadian actor Yannick Bisson

Chrysalis7 · 20/09/2018 20:38

Leonardo DiCaprio.

With a name like this, was he ever going to be ANYTHING other than a massive Hollywood star? 😍❤️❤️

butterflysugarbaby · 20/09/2018 20:39

Also agree with Isabella Rossellini. What a lush name 😍❤️❤️

MadamesNet · 20/09/2018 20:47

Gaspard Ulliel. He’s a French actor and is every bit as gorgeous as his name.

Going with the French actor theme, there’s also Audrey Tautou, Vincent Cassel, Jean Dujardin and Guillaume Gallienne who all have beautiful sounding names.

derxa · 20/09/2018 21:09
