I hate unannounced visitors

Please tell me it's not just me! I'm off work at the mo and people seem to think my home is a free for all! My FIL calls round unannounced alot to moan about his health. I'm seriously thinking of closing the blinds and hoping the dog doesnt bark

It's so rude, I think.

To me "popping in while you're passing" smacks of the univited popper-inner assuming that their time and wants take precedence over everyone else's.

It's basically expecting the person you're visiting to put absolutely everything on hold with no prior notice, just so they can make the visitor a cup of tea & have a chat.

It's utterly selfish IMHO, but loads of people will disagree - I've read countless threads on this, and I'm always that so many people don't mind.
