We all know what we are crap at, however come brag to me and tell me what you’re good at!

I’m good at making my kids laugh.

Doesn’t pay the mortgage admittedly but makes for some happy times Grin

I have an incredible tolerance for boredom and I can sleep a-n-y-w-he-r-e. These powers combined make me an incredible long distance traveller.

GoodbyeSummer · 21/09/2018 18:39

I am fairly good at photography and occasionally get placed in the final groups and even come 3rd, 2nd or even 1st in some competitions! I must get out more often though because I've not done anything for a few weeks.

Dowser · 21/09/2018 19:04

I’m good at complaining
In fact I’ve made it an art form
I get all sorts of compensation for ( genuine) complaints
I’ve even turned down offers of compensation and ended up with more

My ex h complained on a virgin upper class flight to Florida that a service we were expecting wasn’t there

The stewardess came back with a bottle of champagne

No, I said, honestly, it’s fine. We are still enjoying the flight

Next time, the stewardess came back and said we want you to pick a £100 worth of duty free

No, no I said .. honestly it’s fine. We are loving the flight. I said with my feet up aNd the seat in front five feet away

So she insisted and I chose some gaultier perfume
When we left the plane... in the bag was the bottle of champagne as well

When you think about it, this is how the rich live

Barracker · 21/09/2018 19:06

I can do the Rubik's cube.

Dowser · 21/09/2018 19:14

Wow barracker
So impressed

Soosiesoo · 21/09/2018 19:17

I'm really good at knowing what time it is (usually can estimate within about 5 minutes of the time) without needing to look at a clock. I'm just always aware of the time. Probably quite sad really! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Soosiesoo · 21/09/2018 19:20

I also like to think I'm good at reading people/situations and can adapt accordingly e.g to reassure, calm or encourage people to open up etc ( or to get other people to change subject when I can tell someone's awkward 😂)

Fab thread!

It's a natural human trait to beat yourself up over the things you're not so good at, so this is rather refreshing!

Dowser · 21/09/2018 19:20

I’m also very nice to people who have helped me / served me
And make sure they are thanked
I’m good at banter and I seem to be able to pitch something just right and raise a laugh when maybe someone else might make it come out all wrong
Iyswim
I’m good at the house admin, sorting out bills, deals holidays, days out which leaves my husband plenty of time to do the shopping and cook 👍

Fuzzyend · 21/09/2018 19:23

I can wiggle my little toes without moving the others.

And I'm good at getting stuff done.

Bubblysqueak · 21/09/2018 19:25

I make amazing Yorkshire puddings and pancakes (both normal and dairy free) .

Dowser · 21/09/2018 19:27

Ovo that is just stunning
WHat a talent and what patience
Thank you for sharing that with us

Causeimunderyourspell · 21/09/2018 19:34

@GreenRut snap! We'd know everything about each other in a 5 minute conversation then haha!

AuntMae · 21/09/2018 19:39

I'm really good with kids. I can strike up a conversation with any random child and make them smile or feel good about themselves. I can also stop fussing or fighting with just a look. People tell me regularly that I need to work with kids or they assume that I already do.

Justanothermile · 21/09/2018 19:44

fuzzyend, I've just tried to do that and it's impossible, you rock. Grin

I'm really very good at running. Not discovered until mid 30's but making up for it now. I wish I'd known how fast I could have been.

I'm chatty and get on with folk.

I'm a good parent, that's sounds twattish but I look at my 19/17 year old and know I've done a decent job, and that gives me more pride than anything (apart from runningGrinGrin).

Themidnightcircus · 21/09/2018 19:59

I'm very good at target archery and also play pigeon shooting
And reading, I'm a super fast reader.

Fuzzyend · 21/09/2018 20:06

Thanks Justanothermile - nobody has ever been impressed before... more slightly replused.

Must say that I'd rather be good at running!

DickTERFin · 21/09/2018 20:24

I’m a great dancer (trained professionally in my youth). I’m also a good actor and a reasonable singer.

I’m funny and can find something absurd regularly in mundane situations.
