OMFG!!! Maneating pineapple

I was enjoying my slices of pineapple when my son, who is a massive source of useless information, tells me that as I was eating the pineapple, it was eating me back!!! I Googled it and it's bloody true 😲

I love pineapple but I can't eat it because it always gives me a really bad stomach ache .

I wonder if the fact it's trying to eat me back has something to do with it.

Well that explains a lot.
Even my hands stung preparing it.
I'll rethink my so called allergy to the bastard thing. I do love a tinned pineapple.

@VelociraptorRex and @Cuttingthegrass The bet is one. I'm half way there. I have the hooves that need a flesh-eating pedicure. I'll buy a pineapple tomorrow and report back.

Pineapples don't grow on trees! I didn't know that.

Interesting! I love pineapples and never experienced any nasty side effects.

I do however occasionally experience burning when I eat eggplant... Do those have similar enzymes?
