There is a cat in my bedroom

Just woken up and found a cat fast asleep on the chair in my bedroom.

I do not have a cat.

I have two dogs who would bark and chase a cat if they saw one.

The dogs have the run of downstairs during the night. There is a stair gate to stop them coming up stairs.

How has a cat got into my bedroom without my dogs going nuts???

It's the Cheshire Cat, obvs. You are blessed.

Unless it's actually a strangely folded up jumper.

FuckMyUterus · 02/09/2018 06:43

This is how some people get cats. They just get in one day and refuse to leave. Congratulations on your new cat, the dogs will learn.

Omg, that would freak me out! Is it a ginger cat. I love ginger cats!

As PP says, you've acquired yourself a cat... Grin

There was a large black cat in my bedroom the other evening. It had scaled the wall and come in through the bathroom window. It was not a friendly cat...

Awww op....you are the chosen one....congrats on your new pet...now you need to pop out and buy...food...bowls...bed...toys etc...and obvs a pretty collar.

Leesa65 · 02/09/2018 06:48

How sweet (if you like cats that is) Grin

overnightangel · 02/09/2018 06:52

Is it still asleep? Does it have a colour? Does it look like it’s looked after or does it look ill/scrawny?

overnightangel · 02/09/2018 06:53

Collar not colour
But also what colour is it ? 😂

overnightangel · 02/09/2018 06:53

Can you get a photo?

ButtonMirror · 02/09/2018 07:06

My meant husband woke up, saw the cat and kicked it out 😢

Was it definitely a cat and not a mouldy pumpkin?

picklemepopcorn · 02/09/2018 07:36

LTB. Immediately.

Maximoo06 · 02/09/2018 07:41

Omg so jealous wish that would happen to me Grin

bellinisurge · 02/09/2018 07:58

That's how you get a cat. Photo please. You have been chosen.
Or it's a neighbour's cat. Does it look familiar? When I say familiar, I don't mean like "a familiar "Grin

Disfordarkchocolate · 02/09/2018 07:59

I'd be so stressed, very allergic to cats!

spiderplantsalad · 02/09/2018 08:42

The cat will surely be back. Your husband will just have to accept that you have a new cat.

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/09/2018 08:45

Did it look well cared for?

Maybe your dogs like this cat? it walked past them & said hi.

Shutityoutart · 02/09/2018 08:48

I woke up in the night to find a cat walking on top of me whilst I slept. It nearly finished me off. I was only 13 and was shouting to my mum that there is a cat in my room but she ignored me as she thought I was sleep talking !

LemonRedwood · 02/09/2018 08:51

This is my sink.

But that is not my cat.

Grin

LemonRedwood · 02/09/2018 08:53

If the cat returns, your DH will just have to accept that you are the chosen ones. Seems the dogs have got their heads round this easier than he has!

SleepFreeZone · 02/09/2018 08:53

🤭

TSSDNCOP · 02/09/2018 08:59

I would LOVE that to happen to me!

schnubbins · 02/09/2018 08:59

As a teenager ,I woke up to find a cat (neighbours had moved away and left the poor thing behind) walking on top of me.She had climbed through the fanlight in my bedroom.About a week later I opened up my wardrobe and there she was lying there with a litter of kittens!

TSSDNCOP · 02/09/2018 09:00

I once went into my kitchen and there was a live chicken on the draining board. I would much prefer a cat every time TBH.
