Is there a cucumber shortage?

I've not seen a cucumber in any shops in my local area for about a week now!

Loads in asda and the co op today.

Loads in both Sainsburys and Aldi near me.

Yes! Sainsbury's had none for delivery this week - I got them in Aldi though.

An mner somewhere is slicing it all for her mil salad!!

Not in my greenhouse!

Didn't have ordinary cucumbers when I did my sainsbury order but had large ones.

Lucky I've got 3 in the fridge for our giant snails. Couldn't have them going without their favourite

They're all in my fridge. Veg box delivers more than I can eat.

No shortage here - we always have at least 4 in the fridge for the kids to munch on 🥒

Those guys ^ have got them all.

Lidl had plenty. They even had the little snack ones.

Loads in Aldi

Not cucumbers but beefsteak tomatoes..... Very difficult to find.

Our local (very large) Tesco Extra only had organic cucumbers today.

My sainsburys order is bereft of them too

Lots in my Asda today, I even bought one.

However, there seem to be regionalised shortages of (1) Fanta Lemon in 2l bottles and (2) larger bottles of Smirnoff Ice .... so who knows, perhaps cucumbers are affected too.

Plenty in my local supermarkets.

I was wondering about Brexit! Maybe it's a regional thing then?

None in Aldi, 3 co ops, Tesco or ASDA this week. My DC go through cucumber like no one's business and now there's none left!

Realistically, we've had a very hot, dry summer, and it's affected many crops.

Beefsteak tomatoes were an Aldi special a week or two ago, perhaps they've taken them all?

It's been a few days since I looked for cucumber so don't know about them at the moment.

My Morrisons had loads today they were all naked not a plastic wrapper In sight

For the last two weeks I could only get extra large cucumbers on Tesco for home delivery.
No normal size or half size cucumbers available.
