CBB 'punch' incident. Views?

Not sure about this as it is highly irritating to have someone jumping around you pretend to 'box' and he could have poked her by accident. She was in a car accident recently and could be tender there. Some could say she had a right to complain even though he was obviously not deliberately trying to hurt her.

The asking for him to be removed from the house (if she did that) and claims that he'd 'beaten her up' were a complete overreaction of though.

Not saying it's a man, so it doesn't matter, it's not real.

I never said men matter and it isn't real.

I said men commit the vast majority of violent crime and their reputations (especially celebs) are rarely tarnished, whether it's a true or false allegation. I'm not sure why it offends you so much?

dustarr73 · 04/09/2018 20:05

@GunpowderGelatine how is it rubbish.
I dont agree with you, thats my opinion.
If you think sticking up for women who've been raped and pointing out that false causation date rare and not on par with rape, is 'having ma

This thread is not about that though. Its about a woman who lied about dv and was caught out.

RT didnt rape her, touch her or do anything to her.Hes the victim in all this.

GunpowderGelatine · 04/09/2018 20:06

Fuck off with your biscuits rainbows, maybe take them to share round the law school you never went to?

GunpowderGelatine · 04/09/2018 20:07

I agree @dustarr73 I didn't say anything other than that re RT and RP - but the thread has moved on from that a little

rainbowsandsmiles · 04/09/2018 20:09

This thread is not about that though. Its about a woman who lied about dv and was caught out. RT didnt rape her, touch her or do anything to her.Hes the victim in all this

Exactly, but that's not a thing she can understand as has repeatedly said males don't suffer from abuse. She's never going to understand, it's pointless.

dustarr73 · 04/09/2018 20:10

@GunpowderGelatine if you where to give statistics on dv,thats great. The threads about that. Its not about rape, female victims.

Its about a man falsely accused and a women caught lying. And its not the first time by all accounts.

26 cast mates tweeted about her, they all cant be wrong.

GunpowderGelatine · 04/09/2018 20:11

as has repeatedly said males don't suffer from abuse

No I haven't you liar.

GunpowderGelatine · 04/09/2018 20:12

@dustarr73 the CPS link also links to false accusations for DV, it's an interesting read!

GunpowderGelatine · 04/09/2018 20:12

*also refers

rainbowsandsmiles · 04/09/2018 20:13

I wouldn't usually hand out biscuits, think that's the most I've ever given out since being on here, but there's seriously no listening with you.
You're incapable of comprehending the point made that THIS THREAD is not about female victims of abuse, it is about a woman doing the abusing! Emotional abuse is a thing too.
Which is why you're getting biscuits, there's literally no point as you just are not listening and obsessed to twisting it to something it isn't even about.

GunpowderGelatine · 04/09/2018 20:15

@dustarr73 I've said repeatedly on here what I think of Roxanne, and with my DH having gone out with her from what he's said I am not surprised in the least about the 26 ex colleagues tweeting their feelings about her. I haven't once defended her actions.

rainbowsandsmiles · 04/09/2018 20:15

No I haven't you liar.

Read back your posts. But there's no point, is there, as you seemingly cannot comprehend that that is exactly what you have been doing through the posts.

GunpowderGelatine · 04/09/2018 20:17

What rainbow you've spent the best part of this thread making up lies, twisting what I've said an embarrassing yourself by continuously claiming that defamation is a criminal offence to people who actually have a law degree. I can't engage with so much stupid anymore

GunpowderGelatine · 04/09/2018 20:18

*whatever

And no I have never said males don't suffer abuse.

dustarr73 · 04/09/2018 20:18

@GunpowderGelatine so your dh is lucky she didnt pick him for the accusation.
Wonder whether you would have believed him.Or her.Cause shes female and females dont report false attacks.Or if they do its rare

GunpowderGelatine · 04/09/2018 20:18

Will you admit you lied about studying law? Because it's completely laughable you expect anyone to believe that

GunpowderGelatine · 04/09/2018 20:20

Well they went out 10 years before we got together so I can't imagine I'd have known about it. You may think bringing my loved ones into it in a hypothetical situation will make me admit all my wrongdoings but sadly you'll be disappointed

rainbowsandsmiles · 04/09/2018 20:32

@GunpowderGelatine so your dh is lucky she didnt pick him for the accusation. Wonder whether you would have believed him*

Exactly, if he was accused by her, hypothetical it may be or not, it'd be interesting to know whose "side" she'd be on.
Gunpowder - have you even watched CBB and what actually happened in it? Would you seriously be OK if as the other poster said, that it was one of your loved ones, that you can't get worked up about it as it doesn't usually happen?
You'd think you'd be bothered just a little bit. Confused Not "doesn't usually happen, so I'm not getting worked up about it tbh."

rainbowsandsmiles · 04/09/2018 20:34

It wasn't just a "he repeatedly punched me" and I over-reacted. It was a systematic turning everyone against him over the space of a few days and absolutely adamant that she was telling the truth that made it worse. Much more calculated. She seemed determined to alienate him and bring him down with the serious domestic abuse allegation.

GunpowderGelatine · 04/09/2018 20:39

I’ve already said rainbows that I think RP’s actions were abhorrent. I’ve never defended her actions. I stand by what I said in my first post - that the saddest thing is it just fuels the misogynists who’ll no doubt use this as an example of “see this is what women do” for years to come.

I have no sympathy for Roxanne, however I think there’d be far less outrage if she was a man.

ILoveOnionRings · 04/09/2018 20:40

This thread has completely been derailed by point scoring

rainbowsandsmiles · 04/09/2018 20:44

I think there’d be far less outrage if she was a man.

I think it would be just as shocking myself if a man did exactly what she did in the house. That a human being could do that to a fellow human, to try and bring them down, and for what? It was completely unjustified.
A man doing that to a woman in the house on camera for all to see would have been awful too.

rainbowsandsmiles · 04/09/2018 20:49

Apparently she's "stepped down" from her radio show now.

PonderLand · 04/09/2018 21:16

Have BB producers explained their actions yet?

Big brother saw the clip before anybody else. They played up to her and told her they wanted to keep her 'safe' they gave Ryan a final warning and he was told not to hit housemates. They offered her the spare room to get away from him ffs. They were a key part of all of this and they are the reason why Roxanne was given the chance and free reign to create such a big issue in her mind. If they'd of shown her the clip to begin with and not gone along with the delusions this could all of been avoided. They completely indulged her and it's disgusting. It's no wonder that it went so far. They owe an apology to Ryan.

Neither Emma or rylan were allowed to say what they really thought at first, it's like they (big brother) wanted to wait and see the publics reaction until they chose 'sides', it could of gone either way in my opinion. They should of being honest with them both and shown them the clip. Anybody could see that it wasn't malicious but big brother didn't have enough conviction to tell her, they let the public do it instead.

theaveragewife · 04/09/2018 22:04

I’m with Gunpowder

Roxanne has made a man concerned for his future for the maximum of two weeks.

Women have had their lives ruined through not being believed or not gaining a conviction while the men are lauded and continue in their careers - no consequence.

Neither is right but have some fucking perspective here please.
