I'm having slow cooked lamb and mint meatballs in extra basil-y tomato sauce with pasta! Just put the meatballs on and they'll be ready for 7.

How about you? Smile

Chinese minced pork with star anise and green beans with noodles. Really Unami and delicious.

Thesearmsofmine · 31/08/2018 17:01

Pasta with a 7 veg sauce and tonnes of grated cheese.

littlepooch · 31/08/2018 17:02

Chicken fajitas.

Without spice for the DC and with spice for DH and I. Kindly made for us by mum as I am 38 weeks pregnant with a poorly one year old and hyperactive 2 year old so she took pity on us and brought us the chicken round :)

It's supposed to be a fish stew but I got as far as chopping an onion in half and now I'm standing on the landing in between the boys' bedrooms until dh gets home and can take over the refereeing.

GrumpyOldMare · 31/08/2018 17:03

Sausage, mash and beans. Been craving mash all day.

Liquoricelake · 31/08/2018 17:05

Honey mustard sausages with mash, peas and fried onions.

DD is spending the night at her grandmother’s house so DH and I are off out to our local Turkish restaurant. I’ll be having chicken adana with spicy rice and salad, and maybe imam byaldi (sp?) too if I’m feeling greedy. DH will be having many grilled meats.

sexnotgender · 31/08/2018 17:12

Pork and Parmesan meatballs in marinara.

Saggital · 31/08/2018 17:33

400ml of water. I'm on day four of a 5-day fast. Just getting to the euphoric stage.

But next Friday it will probably be an 'outdoor stir-fry'. An accidental invention one October of an old rusty wok perched on a few bricks containing some burning logs. Lightly oil the pan, throw in some langoustines, scallops, broad beans or peas, keep tossing, throw in some rustic cut up sausage too, add a dash of armagnac, and serve from the pan into bowls with some pasta, red rice or walnut bread. For pud, some hunsa apricots soaked in orange juice and whisky, or cooking apples baked with dried fruit and clotted cream.

Its 1st September tomorrow, we enter the best month for food.

SneakyGremlins · 31/08/2018 17:39

Bluths I've never, ever had Turkish food. Always wanted to try it!

I had a bacon sandwich, dd wants a sausage sandwich and ds the obligatory burger. Looks like today is my day off cooking!

Tiedmyhands · 31/08/2018 17:56

Honey glazed salmon with spring onions, wild rice, sugar snap peas, corn on the cob, avocado, salad ( lettuce, tomato, red onion, cucumber and radish ).

Tiedmyhands · 31/08/2018 17:59

Saggital sounds so delicious!

bluechameleon · 31/08/2018 18:03

Lots of little bits of veg in the fridge so I think DH, DS2 and I will have stir fry. DS1 won't eat that so he can finish the tortellini. I should go.and make it but I have a sleeping baby on me and I'm comfy.

Aethelthryth · 31/08/2018 18:08

Kedgeree and salad

flugelhorn81 · 31/08/2018 18:09

Macaroni cheese with leeks and bacon and salad

Theresnodisneyending · 31/08/2018 18:11

( For the kids - I have leftovers) Miso and seaweed soup, salmon, rice, broccolli. They went to a party yesterday and all they ate was Haribo, so, today was a Fix It day.

niceupthedance · 31/08/2018 18:16

Got fed up waiting for autumn and made a beef stew

Juanbablo · 31/08/2018 19:13

We went out for dinner. We weren't really planning it but were in a pub garden following a family thing and decided to just stay and eat. I had cheese, potato and onion pie with vegetables and it was delicious.

MaryBoBary · 31/08/2018 19:23

@Crunchymum I do it for about 3 hours on 160 degrees, stir halfway through. I just stick the saucepan straight in the oven with a lid on (all metal pan. Once put a pan with a plastic handle in - didn’t end well...).

LaGattaNera · 31/08/2018 19:24

I just cannot face meals nowadays so I had a wholemeal toastie with mozzerella, red pesto and sauted mushrooms in it with a tomato salad and a few plain crisps on the side.
Had norovirus or similar at Easter and since then I cannot eat much of what I previously enjoyed. I have even stopped having chocolate and I used to be an addict Shock

MaryBoBary · 31/08/2018 19:25

@Saggital what is a rustic sausage?!

Onesmallstepforaman · 31/08/2018 19:37

I had chickpea kofta, salad and sweet potato fries with a lime mayo. A hello fresh recipe. Really tasty and makes me look like a competent chef . ..you can fool some of the people all of the time😊
