I'm having slow cooked lamb and mint meatballs in extra basil-y tomato sauce with pasta! Just put the meatballs on and they'll be ready for 7.

How about you? Smile

Salmon fillets with roast new potatoes green beans and carrots and I've got a lime to squeeze over it and we'll just have with mayo as well.

IdahoJones · 31/08/2018 15:20

I've threatened the DP with a low carb fry up. So basically a fry up without the bread.

After having a big lunch today, the children have picked their 'Friday fake away' for tonight (last Friday before back to school next week so their choice) they've opted for Pizza and snack bits - Pizza, Garlic bread - for the fake away and then Salad, Tortilla chips, Colesaw, cocktail sausages and whatever else snack wise we have to go with it - 1 will have a bit of everything, 1 will have Pizza, Tortilla chips and maybe some bread!

PinkHeart5914 · 31/08/2018 15:26

DC will have pesto cod, sweet potato mash & broccoli

I will have Madras, mushroom rice, potato dish that the name of escapes me, veg samosas from the very good takeaway in the village. DH is out tonight so it’s all for me

ThisIsNotARealAvo · 31/08/2018 15:28

Jacket potatoes and all the last bits of salad, cheese, ham etc out of the fridge.

8mileeminem · 31/08/2018 15:30

Jacket potatoes with curry filling in the last night of my caravan holiday

Nononononono33 · 31/08/2018 15:32

Just a quick pizza going in the oven later as we both have unusually early Friday afternoon finishes and we are off out for cocktails right now!

IndigoSpritz · 31/08/2018 15:33

M&S Dirty Fries with chicken Kiev. Half a bottle of Chardonnay.

Large Gin and Tonic before all of that.

crispsahoy · 31/08/2018 15:36

HeyMicky · 31/08/2018 15:40

Pork belly with steamed Asian greens. Lemon cheesecake for pudding

MaryBoBary · 31/08/2018 16:00

Chilli (minus the kidney beans because none of us like them), rice, Pitts breads and sour cream on the top! It’s one of our favourites and we usually have it once a week. It’s been in the oven for a couple of hours already

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/08/2018 16:02

Off out for dinner with friends - curry and Prosecco!

MaryBoBary · 31/08/2018 16:03

Pita breads obviously. Arm pit bread does not sound appealing...

MaryBoBary · 31/08/2018 16:03

Dear god PITTA BREADS!!!

SneakyGremlins · 31/08/2018 16:04

You can do chilli in the oven?Shock

OP posts:
MaryBoBary · 31/08/2018 16:07

Well I cook it in the pan first on the job and then put it in the oven on about 150 for a few hours. Makes it really nice and thick and rich. Also OH can’t stand chewy mince to stops that too.

MaryBoBary · 31/08/2018 16:08

Sometimes I do it with braising steak instead of mince - that’s really good too and definitely benefits from slow cooking

SneakyGremlins · 31/08/2018 16:10

Oooooooh

Only ever made it in a pan! then eaten half as it cooks

Whatsthisbear · 31/08/2018 16:11

Chicken, dauphinoise potatoes ( just put in the oven Now on low ) asparagus and sugar snap peas

Crunchymum · 31/08/2018 16:15

Chilli, baby new potatoes and salad.

Crunchymum · 31/08/2018 16:17

And I might have to bung my chilli in the oven and try it out.

What temp, how long for? I assume transfer from pan to oven dish?

Justanothermile · 31/08/2018 16:55

Jackfruit wraps and salad.

PhilomenaButterfly · 31/08/2018 16:57

Chicken korma with pilau rice.

Domino211 · 31/08/2018 16:59

Roast chicken with mash and cauliflower cheese, bit hungover so cannot wait!

Preceded by some fancy crisps and wild boar salami we brought home from Italy which is amazing......
