Have just heard the news that she's going to be hosting Im a Celebrity with Dec in November due to Ant's ongoing troubles.

Why is this vapid, personality vacuum shoehorned into everything on ITV? Dec showed on Britain's Got Talent that he's more than capable of hosting on his own. He doesn't actually need a co host really. No one on social media is happy about either, maybe due to the fact that's they know all the banter will revolve around Holly acting all ickle girly and simpering, despite the fact that she's pushing 40 now.

I genuinely think this is a dreadful decision that will impact on my enjoyment of the show.

What, and Ant and Dec are serious intellectuals? Give her a break, she's as good as any of the others. It's 'I'm a Celebrity' she's hosting, not University Challenge.

She's just awful. Really lazy and unimaginative to have her replace Ant. Should have been Stephen Mulhern if anyone.

Lots of people like her, that's why she's got the gig. You don't have to watch, you know. I didn't watch it one year because there was almost no one in there that I'd heard of.

He simply might not want to do it alone.His wife will have a new born when it's aired so will prob stay at home,he's friends with Holly so why not? She's not as annoying as some I.e amanda Holden,Lorraine Kelly.

I'm not impressed. I don't think she'll make a good pair with Dec. Have seen a lot of comments on SM that doesn't like it either. Stephen Mulhern would have been a much better fit but apparently he turned it down and he also didn't want to fill in properly on SNTA because he didn't want to step into Ant's shoes and have that direct comparison. It's a shame though as I think he works well with both Ant and Dec. They all get on well on BGMT.

Of course Ant and Dec aren't intellectuals, but the best part of Im a Celeb has always been their onscreen banter. To replace Ant with someone who isn't capable of banter unless it involves her acting like a seven year old is just random.

I’m fairly happy about it! I think it’s a good choice of stand in. It would be wrong for Dec to present the show alone and I think Holly is a good temporary fit.

I do like her and she probably got the job because she's one of itv's most well known presenters so she will get viewers. However, she does seem to be on a bit too much these days.

Couldn't care less...i can't bear watching I'm a celeb.. I find it genuinely distressing to watch people eating vile, unpleasant things. I don't know why it's popular...what's enjoyable about watching people in discomfort?

You're right, OP. HW is a terrible choice. She's not remotely funny, not even as a stooge. The posters here who are pro HW are v much in the minority. As you say most people are thoroughly underwhelmed and we will see that in much lower viewing figures than usual

I'm definitely not watching it now. She's nice enough in a vapid, pretty sort of way. But it's not on that she gets all the presenting jobs. Talent not required.
Guess there isn't any fresh talent so they scrape the existing barrel.
I didn't think Jungle could possibly be dumbed down any more. I was wrong
