.. the crazy dog lady who has a menagerie of dogs, probably 3 mini dachshunds and a couple of scraggly rescues.

I'll live in a rural village surrounded by woodland, hopefully still with my DH, and I hope I didn't turn out like my own mother and my DC still talk to me and visit for Sunday lunch on occasion.

Anyone else think about this stuff? 😬

Pets are too much of a tie to the house so no more for us, hopefully DH will have retired. Travel really, rather a lot. DH wants to follow England cricket team when possible.

I may also buy a canal boat, we live not too far from a marina so summer on the boat and out of school holidays for travel abroad.

Our DS plans on joining the RAF, if we ever end up with grandchildren I have no plans whatsoever on being available for a lot of childcare though would happily care for them for a couple of weeks a year so they could get a break.

Two stages:
Mad explorer woman who hikes round the world and occasionally settles somewher egorgeous for a few months so the DC can come and have a free holiday..
Mad animal lady with loads of cats but a small farm too who loves having grandchildren over to collect eggs, feed the lambs etc.

But I don't want to live too long. I really don't. I don't my DC to ever feel gloomy at the prospect of visiting some paranoid, smelly, moaning batshit crazy old woman who is me. I'll be gone long before then.

I'd quite like to look like the seriously stylish older woman I just saw in a cafe. Short silver hair in a cool style, wearing brown dungarees over a white t-shirt with navy Converse, bright red lipstick and huge sunglasses. She looked fabulous.

I want All the rotties. They can pull me around on a sledge in winter so I can get my pint of milk and newspaper.

I am going to live in an old house that has land and stables. I will have an ancient old pony and a stout, reliable cob that stands rock still at the mounting block for me to get on and off. And just ambles around the village with me onboard. I might even go hunting on him.

I will also have a couple of dogs, a small flock of hens and a veg patch. DH will tend the veg patch and do the hens before nodding off watching Bargain Hunt while I go out riding.

The ancient pony will be tacked up and used by the grandchildren when they come to visit.

I am 40. Ds is 4, dd 14. No real desire for grandchildren for many years but if I am having a cob it needs company and it mivgt as well have a little job to do.

When I’m really old, I’m going to be.......
Very happy. Living with my many dogs, cats, sheep, pigs, a donkey or two, some reptiles and spiders. I won’t need anyone to look after them when I go on holiday because I won’t need to go on holiday as I will be living somewhere in the Faroes. I will receive a helicopter delivery of provisions every few months and so will never have to leave unless I want to. I will also be living in bliss with my darling husband, who though he is twenty years older than me, will live in good health with me til we’re centenarians. Our lovely DDs will bring our many, many grandchildren to visit us on our idyllic island often, where they will have the perfect childhood. Ahhhhh.......
