DH and I are both speechless.

Although it does seem convenient 😂

Idontbelieveinthemoon · 29/08/2018 18:35

Hah I bet that room's seen some romance!

NinaMarieP · 29/08/2018 18:37

Apparently it's an "open en-suite facility". That's not a thing.

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 29/08/2018 18:39

That's going to give me nightmares.

ScreamingValenta · 29/08/2018 18:41

Bucking the trend here, but as long as the room is used by one person only, I don't see it's a huge problem.

Redgreencoverplant · 29/08/2018 18:42

I grew up in West Wales and heard a lot of jokes about people from Lampeter. Perhaps they were right all along Grin

Heaviestdirtyestsoul · 29/08/2018 18:43

Bog brush in the bedroom- just the right setting for the perfect romantic peaceful night Envy - not envy

anitagreen · 29/08/2018 18:44

This reminds me of a bedroom from the sims computer game Grin

Racecardriver · 29/08/2018 18:51

Can you imagine waking up in the middle of the night to the sound of your OH using the loo. On another note I have a funny story. So we moved into a new house recently and upstairs there is a window on the landing which is on the wall perpendicular to the window for the bathroom. And the toilet is next to the window on the far wall. It was a hot day and we had all the windows open. So I was walking upstairs and glanced out the window only to lock eyes with my DH who was sitting on the toilet!

ScreamingValenta · 29/08/2018 18:55

I'd be more concerned about the 'child's bedroom' - it doesn't seem to have an external window - isn't that something of a fire risk?

Rybbonsyster · 29/08/2018 18:59

According to the floor plan there's a shower in that room too. Why not put a wall up??

FlyingMonkeys · 29/08/2018 19:00

Ewwwww! Not sure which is worse. Toilet in bedroom or carpet in 'bathroom'. Why on earth wouldn't they just box it off... I also appreciate it's got a crappy partition dignity panel to define the 'bathroom area', and then the handtowel rail 3ft further down the wall 😂

WakeUpFromYourDreamAndScream · 29/08/2018 19:02

@anitagreen haha me too! Before you had enough 'money' and could upgrade Grin

Eggoispreggo · 29/08/2018 19:11

When I was little my grandma's house had a toilet in the second bedroom. It was behind a slight wall so you couldn't literally see it from the bed, but pretty much the same deal.
It saved me from having to run the gauntlet to the loo downstairs with potential monsters/ghosts at night. Loved it

JenBarber · 29/08/2018 19:14

I don't a problem.

And if I did then it would take a builder about a day to box it in...

amy85 · 29/08/2018 19:26

😂😂😂😂 an 'open ensuite'

Pinkprincess1978 · 29/08/2018 19:56

Personally don't see the problem, we have an en suit and often leave the door open.

Graphista · 29/08/2018 20:00

Wow! I have OCD and just the photo makes me anxious! The germs! All over the bedroom!!

booellesmum · 29/08/2018 20:01

It looks like the set up in our Sylvanian Families house.

StealthPolarBear · 29/08/2018 20:03

It's a lovely house

TacoFriday · 29/08/2018 20:04

I’m assuming the grade 2 listing is why they’re not putting random walls up

DancingDot · 29/08/2018 20:04

Be handy for someone with mobility issues I suppose...but I'd be flinging a wall up....It makes me think of a cell.

booellesmum · 29/08/2018 20:05

Just shown to DH and DD - the looks on their faces is definitely the high point of my day so far.

9amTrain · 29/08/2018 20:22

Disgusting! So you'd curl out a hot one before bed and end up basking in the ambience of it for the next hour and a half! Nice.

FlyingMonkeys · 29/08/2018 20:26

It really is a beautiful house. However I live in an old house with dodgy plumbing and I've been in the unfortunate position of having the toilet block and overflow a couple of times in the past. It's not something I would want to occur on my bedroom carpet. If the open ensuite area was even sectioned off and tiled on the floor of might appear more acceptable. In regards to mobility issues... My mum has mobility issues she refused to come out of hospital at a point when a commode was a suggestion in her bedroom (she was fortunately at a point to come home a week after that point). Just because someone is older doesn't mean they wish to shit on display in their bedroom.
