Where did these knickers come from?

I've found them in my underwear drawer.

They're similar to my usual ones (plain black no VPL) but are a different size and a brand I've never bought.

DH does the laundry in this house so I have to assume he put them there when putting clean washing away. But, how did they get in the laundry in the first place?

We have two teen boys but no regular girlfriends afaik (older one has friends who are girls).

DH very occasionally goes away on business but they're not affair undies and even when I look for them I can't see any signs of anything untoward there.

We've occasionally given a key to tradesmen.

I can't think of anything else

I’ve had similar happen - one pair left by a teenage girl (a thong - so definitely never mine) and one came back from the laundrette (chucked both)!

DH does the laundry too and likes to sort my knickers! It was him who questioned why I had bought a thong!

My best friend from school once found a random thing in his laundry and the then girlfriend accused ME! I was torn between fury and howling with laughter...he’s never in 20+ years seen my underwear so please don jump to conclusions!

XH was stupid enough to bring back lacy holdup worn by OW, wash it and hang it out on the airer where I found it. He was particularly dense though

Oh I remember leaving my thongs at my MIL once years and years ago. I stayed over when she was out- we was causal dating back then, She didn't know about me.

They also ended up in her draw.

Several books have even been written about it (Well, about them disappearing... but occasionally returning to the wrong place is a natural consequence)

I'd go with hotel drawer if he uses them - all sorts get left in hotel rooms and not fished out by housekeeping

I found a stray pair of underwear in my washing once. Worked out that it was left behind in the side pockets of a giant suitcase a friend lent me and subsequently mixed up in my laundry. I know because I found a second matching pair in that pocket. It did confuse me for a few hours though.

I once lost a pair of very expensive knickers. Lived on my own, turned the place upside down looking for them.

Also once found a pair of knickers that weren't mine. Again, lived alone.

Both times it turned out that small knickers had got tucked into a duvet cover while in the washing machine and didn't emerge till months later when getting the duvet cover out of the cupboard and putting it on the duvet.

The knickers that weren't mine belonged to a house guest I'd had months before.

A couple of years ago I found a pair of size 8 jeans in my wardrobe. I am not a size 8. Son's gf at the time was a size 8 but she swore blind they weren't hers. I genuinely had no idea where they had come from.

So I decided to give them to a charity shop, checked them all over for marks/tears and then realised that not only were they brand new, they were also a lot bigger than a size 8. Then I remembered that I'd bought them in New York several.months earlier and an American size 8 is a UK size 12 so they were mine all along Blush

My money would be on your son's female friends sleeping over

If your DSs are old enough to have girlfriends then I guess they have brought them into the house. My DDs have drawerfuls of supermarket brand knickers.

Totally distracted by the husband borrowing his friends pants. I can’t think of a situation where that would arise. Mine goes on stag weekends etc, but I’d imagine if he ran out, he’d just recycle or go without.

Can we have more about that please?

Also just because your teenage boys don’t have girlfriends, it doesn’t mean there are no knickerless girl situations

Our teens are constantly on teen sleepovers or at festivals and clothing regularly appears, disappears, re-appears....

Have your teens been to a festival? They seem to have piles of clothing strewn in communal heaps in and around their chairs and between their tents, and acquisition of pants, socks, cropped tops etc doesn’t seem automatically linked to sexual activity.

Supermarket pants in a small size: send likely to be teen-linked.

Slightly different but my friend once picked up someone else's knickers from the communal changing area. Same colour, brand and size and my friend just assumed she'd packed an extra pair (she went to pool in her costume and had her clean knickers in her towel)

It was only after getting home and finding her clean knickers and realising that the ones she had put on had a bow she isn't a bow kind of gal that she clocked she had put on someone else's grundies Shock
